We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Assembler to:
Perform basic mechanical assembly work which may be involved in any of the following areas; mechanical sub assembly, conformal coating, harness assembly, lamp assembly, display assembly, final chassis assembly, and general soldering.
Demonstrate a proficiency of skills to perform consistently above average quality of work in a timely fashion.
Under limited supervision may use methods, or written work instructions to inspect assemble, modify, rework, disassemble or reassemble deliverable or prototype hardware.
Perform tasks associated with handling and storage of assemblies, ESD and safety issues, housekeeping, and timecards.
Must be a Certified Operator Inspector in accordance with L3 Technologies certification process.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Good manual dexterity and the ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
General mechanical assembly skills to include; wire cutting, hand stripping wire, small hand tool utilization, ink stamping and labeling, use of adhesives, applying heat shrink, tinning gold cups, chemical waste and disposal, crimping, torquing, connector pin insertion, conformal coating applications, painting and selective solder a plus.
Ability to incorporate ECNs and complete TDR rework or repair.
On occasion, be able to build to print.
Perform equipment repair or maintenance.
Ability to follow ESD procedures.
Must be able to pass J Standard Certification for general soldering.
Maintain observance of tool calibrations, safety requirements and work station maintenance.
Work may require lifting of from 10 to 25 pounds.
There is some risk of cuts from mechanical assembly operations, eye protection is required for certain duties, limited exposure to toxic fumes, chemicals and electric shock.
