Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for a Senior Materials Management Staff Manager (Supply Chain) to be based in Houston, TX.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules.

  • Plan and schedule material/production needs.

  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs

  • Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs

  • Optimize inventory and process improvements

  • Apply existing technologies, approaches, methodologies in new combinations to design new products, systems or processes

  • Viewed internally and externally as a specialist in the discipline

  • Present projects plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders (EB and SEB) within technical space and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams

  • Communicate solutions across the own function and with cross-functional partner organizations

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • 5 years of experience in Materials Planning and Execution

  • Comprehensive knowledge of underlying principles, approaches and methodology.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

  • Established project management skills
