Overview:

This warehouse position involves the timely and accurate reporting of materials movements that transpire on a daily basis. The position may include the complete set of transaction activities: picking/staging for Sales Orders and Service Depot locations; picking components for production work orders; picking / staging materials for movement to Contract Manufacturers; Receiving Vendor Materials; Receiving Customer RMA returns / Vendor repair returns; issuing materials to Engineering to support Engineering projects or to replenish lab supplies. Packing of products for safe transport and completion of domestic and international shipping documentation. The position also includes the involvement in both daily cycle counting and other periodic physical inventory activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Inventory and Warehouse policies and procedures currently in place (warehouse security, daily warehouse processing, and fiscal period cutoffs).

  • Post Inventory transactions on a daily basis into SAP in adherence to defined warehouse procedures and work instructions.

  • Assist in organizing and moving material to and from off-site warehouses in support of Engineering, as requested.

  • Work in concert with other Warehouse personnel, Quality Inspection personnel, and Shipping personnel to support the responsive environment required by Operations.

  • Participate in the warehouse 5S Workplace Organization initiative to ensure that a safe, clean and well-organized warehouse environment exists at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and 8 years related experience.

  • Applicant must be computer proficient, with prior experience in performing inventory transactions in a computer-based business system.

  • Knowledge of inventory controls or related experience in a managed inventory environment required SAP experience is highly desirable.

  • Licensed to drive Material Handling equipment necessary (Fork Lift, Stand-on Lift). Must have a valid driver's license.

Overview: Veeco is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Technician with primary responsibilities to assemble newly manufactured systems and subsystems on the manufacturing floor. To conduct diagnostic, setup configuration, calibration, mechanical fit, systems communications, and software configuration. Manage all manufacturing test data associated with Final Test and Source Acceptance Testing. Able to report and troubleshoot testing activity discrepancies and work with Engineering and R&D groups as required to resolve diverse & complex issues found during Final Test. Work with Manufacturing Engineering and other Test Technicians to resolve and close Responsibilities: * Integrate and test complex optical and electro-mechanical subsystems into a higher-level system or process module * Perform mechanical and software installation, set up and adjustment following detailed work instructions and test plans * Diagnose and repair system performance issues using high precision electrical, optical and mechanical test equipment * Troubleshoot testing activity discrepancies * Work with Engineering and R&D groups as required to resolve diverse & complex issues found during Final Test * Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Assembly Test Technicians to resolve and close issues * Manage all manufacturing test data associated with source acceptance testing * Compile statistical reports for each system during Final Test * Participate in Continuous Improvement. Identify and provide improvements of test methods for existing products and collaborate with Engineering to develop methodologies for new products/components Qualifications: * Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in testing and troubleshooting complex systems is required. Associate's degree or other related formal education preferred. Travel up to 50% between our Somerset, NJ and San Jose, CA locations is required for the first six months. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Knowledge of hardware, software, and control systems - Analog / D-Net is preferred * Experience with photolithography equipment and processes is preferred * SAP skills that range from simple inquiries to complex reports and transactions (MM, PP modules) * Ability to perform statistical data analysis * Skills in identifying and resolving recurring problems * Possesses interpersonal skills to interface with other technicians, engineering, management, customers, sales and marketing * Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required to meet company revenue requirements * Military experience a plus * Mechanical Engineer background a plus * Systems Test Engineer * Final Test Engineer * Systems Specialist Veeco is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
