Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Senior Marketing Programs Manager will work with Sales, Product & Segment Marketing and other Marketing personnel to develop and execute winning marketing campaigns/programs in concert with Jama Software's business and brand strategy. This person will create marketing plans that align with the department's strategy, maintain quality assurance and integrated communications across multiple marketing channels. This person will interact with a matrixed team of personnel in the execution of the above.


  • Develop and manage the execution of segment and/or product-specific Marketing campaigns and programs that are aligned with department strategy and objectives.

  • Plan and execute the field marketing portions of the marketing plan (e.g. webinars, tradeshows, lunch and learns, executive dinners, sponsorships and ABM programs).

  • Manage the concurrent execution of a variety of marketing tactics within a given program and ensure linkage of tactics to overall segment or product strategy.

  • Continually monitor marketing program performance and collaborate with functional Marketing managers to drive best-in-class practices.

  • Manage and/or liaise with agency or third parties as appropriate.

  • Capture and work with management to prioritize opportunities at the segment and/or product level.

  • Manage marketing spend and forecast and ensure that deliverables are delivered on time.

  • Develop knowledge of all Jama product lines/services.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications

  • 8+ years of B2B Marketing experience, ideally in a SaaS-focused company.

  • Proven track record and experience in executing marketing programs and deliverables.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.

  • Strong project management and organization skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills from email communications to formal presentations.

Preferred Experiential Background:

  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce) and marketing automation (Marketo).

  • Marketing Project Management tool familiarity (e.g. Wrike, Asana).

  • Experience working with product development teams.

  • Personal passion for innovation, technology and product development.

Position Summary: The Marketing Programs Manager is responsible for the implementation and execution of integrated, multi-channel campaigns that create demand for Smarsh in the marketplace and awareness for the company and its solutions. The role will be directly aligned with an individual sales and sales development representative (SDR) segment, and will be accountable for marketing-qualified lead, pipeline and marketing contribution-to-funnel targets. This role will also work closely with the marketing organization's demand gen, field marketing, creative and operations functions to execute and optimize programs. Ideal candidates must possess passion for the art of communicating and the science of data, and be able to harness the power of analysis to deliver the right messages to the right audiences at the right times. Job Responsibilities: * Drive programming strategy to hit qualified lead, pipeline and revenue targets for multiple products, services and market segments * Own campaign design and execution, including: email/content marketing strategy, landing pages, nurture programs, paid media deployment/evaluation * Plan and manage cross-functional projects to better drive pipeline, revenue, and retention * Own strategic projects and initiatives * Plan and track optimization strategy to maximize budget and resource ROI * Manage campaign budgets, timelines and ideal customer profile segment targets * Leverage account-based marketing principles to drive enterprise campaign programming * Support SDRs focused on both lead qualification and outbound prospecting * Analyze sales/marketing trends and design lead-generation and sales-enablement campaigns to test, support and ultimately strengthen conversion rates * Develop relationships and work directly with vendors as needed * Manage campaign reporting dashboards for operational/senior management * Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing and advertising technology trends, best practices and solutions Job Requirements: * 4+ years of demand generation experience in B2B technology world * Deep CRM ( and marketing automation (e.g. Pardot, Marketo, Hubspot, Eloqua, Act-On) knowledge * College Degree preferred * Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, tools and technologies * Ability to compile, analyze and present data and respond flexibly and decisively * Strong communication skills that translate to external and internal channels Why Smarsh?
