The Sr. Marketing Manager manages the marketing projects and activities for Virtual's clients. These activities include the oversight and implementation of outbound communications, brand development, website and other launch efforts, while ensuring ongoing services are aligned with the client's strategic priorities. This position works closely and collaboratively with the Marketing team and the client's teams to develop strategic marketing plans. In executing the strategic marketing plans, the Sr. Marketing Manager is responsible for ensuring that all marketing activities and outbound communications align with the client's strategic objectives and will be distributed across multiple channels (client website, social media, blogs, and PR).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop short- and long-term strategic marketing communications plans and budgets to support Virtual's clients
Oversee the daily execution of marketing plans, assure adherence and evaluate performance and metrics.
Oversee and manage reporting on all client efforts including the use of analytics with the intent to scale and optimize our efforts for maximized ROI and identify trends and insights and optimized spend and performance based off insights.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients' communications/marketing/staff team and develop and nurture the relationships with client contacts to foster positive, long-term partnerships.
Develop relationships with and oversee the day-to-day activity of contractors and vendors
Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and quality in marketing communications operations.
Ensure the integration of the Marketing Communications department within the greater client services team and ensure that the client services team optimizes its use of marketing communications services.
Responsible for oversight of the development and execution of branding across current and new clients ensuring consistent delivery of branding, messaging, and quality across all channels.
Serve as the main contact for launch services within the marketing communications department.
Provide strategic counsel to clients on marketing communications activities.
Work with the team lead on marketing-related business development for existing and prospectus clients.
Serve as a key contributor on all PMO efforts across the marketing communications department working with the PMO Director to ensure all projects are templatized, efficient, and being executed on correctly.
Work within department and cross functionally, develop processes and procedures that streamline processes and bring about efficiencies
Effectively plan, execute, and measure traditional and online marketing programs (e.g. webinars, email, direct mail, etc.)
Management of Virtual internal staff/interns to include: Training; Coaching & Professional Development; Additional Administrative Duties; PMO
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism preferred.
8-10 years of professional experience in marketing communications; agency or association experience preferred.
High level of creativity and "roll up your sleeves" working style.
Staff management experience; experience leading cross-function teams a plus.
Detail-oriented, with strong, effective organizational, problem solving and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
Able to work cross-functionally and across all levels of an organization.
Must be a self-starter with ability to manage a team, demonstrate excellence in organizational management, work well under pressure, and work independently and as a strong team player with hands-on marketing skills.
Ability to manage staff hours to client budgets to ensure profitability targets are met.
Thinking outside of the box and ways to streamline everyday workflows.
PMO experience and training on PMO tools (i.e. Wrike, Basecamp, Teamwork) preferred.
Computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite with a strong background in PowerPoint; Adobe Creative Suite and HTML skills a plus.
Experience reporting within email marketing platforms, social media platforms, and analytics platforms preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
