Job Description:

Develop short and long-term strategies and plans to maximize volume and profitability for assigned product lines and channels in partnership with the SAM, division sales and the cross-functional team. Act as the category/ project leader in all new product and portfolio management activities. Manage cross-functional resources and prioritization to deliver against category objectives as well as the overall assigned division objectives. This role is distinguished by working more complex businesses and in having more involvement integrating marketing strategies across the business group.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of annual business plan and multi-year strategic plans with the divisions

  • Execute plans for assigned channels in close partnership with sales, operations, research and development and other functions

  • Act as the project leader/manager for business development and cost-savings initiatives, acting as the key cross-functional go-to person for project decisions, guidance, communication and management

  • Analyze business results and marketplace dynamics to provide ongoing growth and corrective action recommendations

  • Track competitive efforts and recommend adjustments to changing market conditions.

  • Partner with sales understand key account strategies and identify and implement appropriate category management solutions for optimizing account performance.

  • Track ongoing sales channel development and adjust plans for fact-based selling directives

  • Work closely with field sales to ensure proper and timely customer communication

  • Participate in developing and giving customer presentations

  • Analyze complex business data and situations and develops a range of solutions; analyzes secondary data to uncover insights, trends and root cause of change in category performance and channel/ customer performance

  • Use quantitative, qualitative and syndicated research to develop new product concepts and build the product pipeline

  • Provides advice and counsel to employees, management, and senior management regarding marketing philosophies, strategies, questions and concerns

  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with senior level executives at customers to expand Treehouse Portfolio

  • Develop short and long-term strategies and plans to maximize volume and profitability for assigned product lines and channels

  • Manage Ecommerce search campaigns optimizing key word efficiency

  • Track and analyze search and ad placement returns

  • Influence cross-functional priorities and resource allocation to achieve volume and profit targets

  • Provide ongoing reporting and analysis of category data and segments to identify product and competitive strengths and weaknesses, identify growth opportunities and defense strategies as needed

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (List all required):

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred. Emphasis in Marketing/Business preferred.

  • Minimum 8 years product/category management experience in a consumer packaged goods food environment; private label experience a strong plus.

  • Strong business and financial acumen; previous P&L management experience/ exposure highly preferred

  • Applicable knowledge of syndicated data and market research techniques

  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to meet project timelines and communicate effectively to cross-functional stakeholders

  • Must possess strategic thinking, leadership, teamwork and analytical skills

  • Creativity and effective interpersonal communication skills required

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to work effectively across the organization and foster cross-functional teamwork

  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment

  • High comfort level with ambiguity and change

Education: Bachelor's Degree required. MBA Preferred.

Travel: Approximately 25% to customers, TreeHouse locations, industry events, etc.

Specific responsibilities include: * In combination with the Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing, guide the channel marketing strategy for the Home Center and E-commerce channels * Act as marketing liaison to successfully lead cross functional initiatives, launches, and projects to build sales within the E-commerce and home center channels. * Create internal and customer facing outputs that drive knowledge and sales around products and product categories. Generate compelling and dynamic sales trainings and presentations. * Assess marketplace for best-in-class customer-facing marketing assets (in -store and online) and implement as relevant. * Promotional planning and analysis. Create separate promotional calendars by channel (and account as needed) that drive incremental sales and revenue dollars. Develop metrics and forecast to ensure success. Complete post-mortem analysis of all promotions. * Management of Ratings and Reviews process for and partner accounts.
