Essential functions:

  • Take ownership of your role as a key content developer

  • Basic ability to think strategically

  • Partner with creative team and marketing managers to evolve and develop the ASA brand

  • Manage workflow efficiently and take responsibility for timing and delivery

  • Help develop our content strategy/consistent brand voice

  • Create marketing content such as: website content, emails, blog posts, lead generation campaigns, one-pagers, white papers, digital and traditional advertising, press releases, and slide decks

  • Edit all content including white papers, case studies, marketing, and sales communications

  • Handle and coordinate the day-to-day copy needs of clients while ensuring internal and external deadlines are met


  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing writing

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

  • Experience in writing headlines, bullets, and other marketing copy

  • Experience writing and editing marketing and content to support marketing materials, product teams, and other internal stakeholders

  • Experience writing and editing B2B and B2C lead generation content for targeted multi-channel, multi-touch campaigns

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure brand and message

  • integrity across department audiences and channels

  • Knowledge of the mechanics of writing: punctuation, spelling, structure and organization of writing

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where everything isn't quite yet 'figured out' and new projects develop quickly


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Has written brand guidelines, brand development

  • Enjoys longer form editorial writing as much as headlines

You are someone who can bring your skilled and savvy content expertise and creative ideas to the table. The content marketing manager will research, create, visualize and edit quality content to communicate the importance of continuous delivery and DevOps, along with the business value CloudBees provides with our products. This role will manage the creation of content that supports the buyer's journey and ties to our key marketing themes/messages, campaigns and company strategic messages. The content needs to be thought provoking, inspiring and it needs to have the right ingredients to incite an emotional response from our audience of skeptical technical buyers. The person in this role will be a strong, experienced editor and marketer who is familiar with content marketing best practices and understands content's role in driving marketing and, ultimately, business success. This role requires strong attention to detail, creativity, good writing skills, exceptional editing skills and the ability to create (using in-house or external resources) high-quality content to really drive demand generation, website conversions and thought leadership goals. What You'll Do * Understands and communicates technical topics in a clear, concise and engaging manner. Displays excellent grammatical skills and the ability to develop content that requires little-to-no editing. Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in style, quality and tone of voice. Must also ensure content is optimized for SEO and social promotion. * Focus on creating and telling great stories that appeal to prospects and customers. * Able to edit and improve on content written by other team members, with an eye on format, grammar, content structure, conversational tone and overall quality. * Develop a content framework structured on the buyer's journey and CloudBees product offerings, while supporting needs for marketing and sales activities. Identify gaps in our current content library. * Manage a content library, based on the content framework, spanning multiple audiences and personas, at all stages of the buyer's journey—from awareness, to consideration, to close. * Develop tactical execution plans for building out the content library. * Collaborate across the functional areas of marketing (thought leadership, product marketing, demand generation, social media, brand and PR, customer marketing) and mobilize resources to assist in the production and promotion of content. * Collaborate closely with PR, demand generation and social teams on editorial calendar and content optimization. * Pitch ideas and develop content for blog, video, visual and long-form content (e-books, whitepapers), as well as innovate with new processes and ways for producing and promoting content. * Research and recommend content created by third-party research firms like Gartner, Forrester, 451Group or other industry organizations[HG1] * Champion the reuse and repurposing of content, implement processes for tracking the ROI of content investments. What The Role Requires * 7-10 years in a content marketing role, including management. * Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English or related major. * You must love developing engaging and useful content and the ability to write/edit short and long form content. * Experience developing content for technical developer/DevOps/IT audiences. * Experience with SEO and creating content optimized for search to help drive inbound traffic. * Exceptional editing, writing and communication skills. * Proven track record in developing and driving a successful content strategy across channels. * A history of strong storytelling skills translatable across many mediums, illustrated by a solid portfolio of compelling content assets (developed by you and/or with internal/external resources) and measurable results. * Ability to understand a variety of buyer personas and address their pain points through compelling content. * Consistent application of styles and standards to writing.
