What you'll be doing

The Senior Marketing Automation Specialist works closely with marketing and sales teams to build and maintain the foundational systems and lead optimization processes that accelerate prospects through the sales and marketing funnel. In support of marketing and lead optimization efforts at Tableau, this role is responsible for creating scalable programs, supporting marketing technology tools, measuring and advocating for improvements to optimize our lead funnel.

Some of the things you'll be doing include

  • Work closely with Growth Marketing, Sales Operations, and Marketing Analytics to measure & monitor lead funnel performance and drive & execute process and technology changes to improve funnel conversion.

  • Deliver timely and relevant lead management programs including predictive lead scoring, data cleaning programs, and notifications to provide sales teams with a high volume of quality leads and to help drive leads through the sales pipeline.

  • Develop reliable and scalable marketing automation processes.

  • Work closely with Marketing Operations program teams, website developers, and business systems to optimize, troubleshoot, integrate, and enhance the marketing automation tools that support the marketing organization.

  • Act as guardian of customer data and privacy by supporting and educating the Marketing teams to drive adoption and knowledge of database segmentation, process, and best practice.

  • Use tools like Tableau to analyze program leads and follow-up programs, constantly testing new ways to drive more leads and more conversions.

  • Assist the Manager, Marketing Automation Systems to determine the best ways to segment and leverage database marketing to drive traffic to programs and manage campaign data flow.

  • Measure and improve lead qualification criteria to enable our sales teams to action on the highest quality leads.

Who you are

  • Experienced. 4-6 years' experience in marketing automation/operations. Knowledge of Eloqua, Marketo or other marketing automation system, - or other CRM systems, and Google Analytics - or other web analytics tools, and Drupal - or other CMS systems.

  • Technical. Knowledge of marketing operations, automation, data flows, as well as best practices for sales and marketing processes. Familiar with Tableau Software, experienced with SQL and Google Big Query, with an understanding of relational databases. Understanding of predictive scoring.

  • A Problem Solver. Strong analytical and problem solving approach. Ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs.

  • A Strong Communicator. Able to build highly effective working relationships that align sales and marketing, excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detailed. High attention to detail, process, and precision.

  • Educated. BA/BS degree in marketing or business related field preferred.
