AT&T's Marketing Measurement and Optimization team is looking for an innovative and experienced professional to lead Data Governance and reporting efforts for our Marketing ROI & Insights market research team.

The Team

The Marketing Measurement and Optimization team optimizes AT&T Mobility & Entertainment marketing and media spend and develops advertising/media research and insights. The mission of the MMO team is to develop and implement a systematic approach to managing marketing's impact on sales, profitability and brand equity. The team develops tools, guidance, and insights for measuring and optimizing marketing return on investment using market mix models, multi-touch attribution, market testing, cutting-edge consumer research and advanced analytics.

The Position

The Senior, Marketing Analytics & Data Governance serves as the team's data expert to ensure that the team's modeling, analytics and insights are fueled by robust, high-quality information.

Key responsibilities for this position include

  • Manage all aspects of data governance for Market Mix Modeling and Multi-Channel Attribution projects to include:

  • Supervise data reporting, collection, and quality control for key information related to market mix modeling. This includes media, advertising, pricing, handset, online and competitive data

  • Identify and acquire additional information and data to incorporate into analytics and modeling efforts

  • Manage the ongoing Marketing ROI & Insights data governance process

  • Develop reports and key insights for major advertising campaigns

  • Establish, plan and administer data and reporting infrastructure (software, hardware, systems) in conjunction with AT&T IT and external vendors

The Person

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. He/she must be able to lead a blended team consisting of both direct reports and external vendors and will manage complex, time-constrained projects.

The candidate should be a persuasive team player who can negotiate with and influence a wide range of business constituencies. A successful candidate will have strong computer/information management skills, analytical know-how and problem-solving acumen.

Qualifications

A Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Decision Science or Engineering is required; a master's degree in these or complementary fields (economics, or similar) is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have 8+ years relevant work experience with information management, preferably with exposure to marketing or media data.

He/she will have a proven track record managing complex projects and experience with preparing business reports for executives. Proficiency with SQL, databases and Excel are required. Experience with SAS, Java and Big Data systems is extremely desirable.

A background in designing and managing reporting systems is also highly desirable. It is also helpful to have relevant work experience working with marketing or finance data management.
