In this Senior Marketing Analyst role you will help drive Ancestry's success by establishing our funnel optimization reporting and alerting. You will enable business leaders to make key decisions. What You Will Do

  • Lead analytics efforts for the Funnel Optimization Team and influence key decisions within the customer acquisition/engagement funnel.

  • Answer open-ended questions clearly using data.

  • Create dashboards, reports, and analyses that explain what happened and why.

  • Lead efforts to standardize reporting frameworks and collaborate with cross functional analytics teams.

  • Lead presentations and conversations with Executives clearly articulating insights and recommendations.

  • Determine the right KPIs to answer specific business questions.

  • Clearly communicate funnel metrics and provide recommendations to business stakeholders.

  • Build dashboards and reporting to enable self-serve analytics.

  • Identify and understand various data sources; build tools and services to improve analysis and experimentation throughput, and work with Data Warehouse team to make online and offline data cross platforms available.

  • Perform Ad hoc analysis to promote understanding of customer behavior (eg. pathing & fallout analysis, data mining, etc.); make actionable recommendations.

  • Use excellent technical skills to access information from various structured and unstructured data sources.

  • Initiate and drive data projects, writing clear requirements for our ETL and Development teams.

Who You Are

  • 4-6 years of experience in analytics with 3+ years using web analytics tools like Adobe Analytics/Omniture or Google Analytics.

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM related field required. Masters in Statistics, Operation Research, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline preferred.

  • Using/implementing data tracking for user behavior

  • Advanced expertise with data analysis tools like SQL, Tableau and Excel.

  • Expert in story-building and presentation skills.

  • Has experience working with cross-functional teams (P&T, Finance, Marketing, etc.)

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, energetic, "can-do" attitude in a fast-moving environment.

  • Ability to deal with change and ambiguity with a bias for action.
