The Senior Marketing & Strategy Leader will be primarily responsible for organizing, leading, and executing the annual Growth Strategy Plan (GSP) process at BHGE. To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to reduce abundant amounts of quantitative and qualitative data to clear, actionable strategies at an enterprise level. The ideal applicant will have a balanced technical and commercial background, with extensive project management and corporate-level strategic planning experience. The Senior Marketing & Strategy Leader will be a key member of BHGE's corporate Marketing & Strategy organization.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Own and lead BHGE's annual GSP process, developing timelines, directing communications, ensuring alignment, and generating strategic insights, recommendations, and action plans

  • Work with various internal leadership teams to develop, collect, refine, and present product, regional, and enterprise-level strategies

  • Work in an advisory capacity to the executive leadership team

  • Participate as a key member of BHGE's Marketing Council

  • Work closely with internal Marketing, Commercial, and Communications teams to establish consistent messaging and alignment

  • Support the development of market intelligence briefs, "house views," competitive analysis, and industry trends

  • Collaborate across the organization and conduct research to support the creation of thought leadership

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or Geoscience from an accredited university/college

  • Minimum 5 years of technical/operations experience in the Oil & Gas industry

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in Strategy, Planning, and/or Market Intelligence roles

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant leadership experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Extensive experience developing long-term strategies for products, functional groups, or companies, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry

  • Extensive experience with project management and execution, and working with complex cross-functional teams

  • Strong commercial instincts, thorough research capabilities, high attention-to-detail, and innovative spirit

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; proficient presentation skills

  • Exceptional creativity and critical-thinking capabilities

  • An uncanny ability to identify attractive business opportunities

  • MBA and/or relevant Advanced Degree preferred

  • Multifunctional experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry

  • Prior experience in consulting/advisory roles

  • Experience creating and delivering insights, materials, and presentations to corporate-level leadership teams

  • Strong understanding of financial statements and economic models

  • Ability to blend disparate inputs from qualitative and quantitative sources into a cohesive, compelling narrative

  • Ability to build networks and credibility with peers and senior staff

  • A highly-motivated "self-starter"," with strong interpersonal, communication, and technical skills

  • Experience with global macroeconomic analysis supply & demand, commodity price outlooks, political & regulatory environment, etc.

  • Experience with score-carding, analysis of industry trends, and competitive benchmarking
