The Factory Manufacturing Excellence Specialist actively supports the implementation of the improvement strategy. The role acts as a major contributor of expertise for FI and Industrial Performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports definition, alignment, and implementation of the Local Leadership Team (LLT) Execution Plan:
1- Co-develop Local Leadership improvement strategy that considers:
2- Gain alignment from the LLT / Key Stakeholders around the Execution Plan and supports cascade across the Business Unit (Production Department communication strategy).
3- Partner with Local Leadership Team to define their Execution Plans to deliver the expected results that include:
NCE rollout plans
Other factory key enablers (Digital, CAPEX, etc.)
Key improvement projects
Key competency building activities
External support requirements
4- Support the execution of the improvement plan by:
Ensures proper governance / routines at LLT levels to track execution progression and improvement sustainability
Spend time on shop floor to evaluate maturity progression and identify key opportunities.
Provide guidance and feedback to LLT and align on corrective actions to adjust execution plans
5- Develop Critical Competence within Key Members of Local Leadership Team
Develop Local Leadership Team (including Functional reps/System Owners) ability to identify opportunities to transform workplace, people, and behaviors to deliver results through GEMBA visits
Partner with HR / Training & Learning Pillar rep to the LLT to establish and evaluate robustness of function/pillar capability plan
Train and coach Local Leadership Team/System Owners on needed system competences based on development needs and escalate for external support as needed
6- Accountable for FI pillar and Industrial Performance related activities within the Local Leadership Team
Leads Local Leadership Teams in building long term NCE Rollout Plan
Evaluates maturity of key systems and provides feedback to functional/pillar leads.
Member of FI Pillar, which includes development competence building and health of FI systems and routines (Problem solving, Project & Stakeholder Management, Loss Intelligence, etc.)
Responsible for development, competence building, and health of Industrial Performance systems & routines, including Labor utilization studies, data reliability, SAP DMO/Master Data
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field required.
3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing.
3-5 years working with Factory Management & Leadership team, with success in supporting & developing cross functional teams.
3 years with an active role on the implementation of Goal Alignment/TPM/Lean.
Understanding of cultural change management, process improvement and business connections.
Experience working with Line labor standards, Budget preparation/review, and line capability/speed studies.
3 years working & developing improvement projects, loss analysis, & strong experience in leading /applying problem solving tools.
SKILLS:
Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (TPM)
Knowledge of key data systems (SAP highly preferred)
Problem Solving capabilities.
Strong analytical skills
Basic understanding of Change Management
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
Project Management competence
Understanding of Basic Finance & Value Creation
