VAST Data is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead and manage the day to day manufacturing operations at our system integrators through the full product lifecycle (NPI - Sustaining

Responsibilities
Develop processes and documentation that ensure reliable and compliant manufacturing operations
Manage day to day manufacturing operations for multiple system integrators across multiple time zones (Domestic and International)
Write and update work instructions and other documents (e.g. specifications, procedures,…)
Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) from NPI through EOL
Create and implement engineering change orders (ECO) at system integrators
Manage supplier quality escapes/escalations and drive RCCA (Root Cause/Corrective Action) through an 8D quality process
Work with cross functional teams of engineers and suppliers to drive RCCA on factory failures/issues
Participate in NPI projects and ensure projects are delivered on schedule
Review and approve First Article Inspections for NPI and Sustaining Qualifications
Summarize and communicate factory yields and quality issues to the leadership team
Communicate concisely verbally and in writing to leadership. Will be required to present monthly and quarterly first pass yield reviews and factory escalations
Provide support for customer issues
Basic Qualifications/Required Experience
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
10+ years hands-on experience in manufacturing operations
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and work instruction generation
Understand manufacturing and test equipment concepts, technologies and techniques
Hands on experience with Engineering Change (EC) processes, BOM structures, and new product introduction releases
Detail oriented, reliable, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure with clear communication.
Flexibility working in a startup that's continually punching above its weight
A proven ability to work collaboratively across time zones and countries, filter and prioritize high priority tasks, and escalate to management where appropriate
Strong problem-solving skills, analytic capabilities, data analysis and attention to details.
Familiar with JIRA, Confluence, google docs, Slack tools
Working knowledge and debug understanding with OEM server and compute products. (Supermicro, Dell, HPE)
