That's what #LifeAtCummins is all about.We are looking for a talented Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engine Business Segment in Rocky Mount, NC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Leads the planning, designing, purchasing, and implementation of changes to the manufacturing equipment and systems while leading and co-leading teams.
Leads the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.
Leads by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.
Impacts the work by utilizing continuous improvement tools, following the Cummins standards, and leading the development of manufacturing standards and working methods.
Leads the communications with and influences key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.
Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.
Leads the advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.
Maintains relationships and coaches' key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Skills
Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
Leads projects, equipment, tooling, and process implementations.
Lead tooling selection, procurement, and setup for tooling within the engine assembly business.
Tooling and fixture design
Team coordination and communication
Understanding on bolted joints and tightening
Vendor and supplier coordination
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
