Senior Manufacturing Engineer performs, plans, and organizes complicated and difficult manufacturing engineering assignments for the improvement of existing processes and the introduction of new manufacturing products and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Performs complicated manufacturing engineering assignments of complexity under general direction, requiring a high degree of technical and professional competence. Develops and manages manufacturing engineering project schedules, deliverables and goals to support manufacturing and corporate objectives. Leads cross-departmental project teams; provides direction and mentors other manufacturing engineers and technicians.

  • Provides complex problem solving and technical support in the design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of manufacturing processes and new products.

  • Oversees the development of production and process control information, prepares technical analysis, recommends manufacturing methods and processes required to meet design objectives on new or improved products and/or processes.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's preferred or equivalent experience, along with 5 years of relevant professional/technical engineering experience with increasing responsibility and difficulty of assignments.

  • Ability to apply interpretations of other related engineering disciplines to specific projects.

  • Demonstrated experience with conventional project management; strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively lead cross-functional teams.

  • Above average ability to effectively communicate in oral, written and graphical form.

Providence seeking a Maintenance Engineer that maintains and repairs hospital equipment, electrical and controls systems, heating and air conditioning systems, and other building repairs in accordance with TJC standards and hospital policy; and performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy. In this position you will have the following responsibilities: * Demonstrates positive interactions with the public and positive interpersonal relations with fellow employees, supervisors, and other department employees, so that productivity and positive employee relations are maximized. * Supports and contributes to effective safety and risk management efforts by adhering to established policies and procedures, maintaining a safe environment, promoting accident prevention, and identifying and reporting potential liabilities. * Operates power plant boilers, pumps, diesel plant, chillers, and all related equipment. Checks boiler room equipment and controls, boilers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, emergency generators, air compressors, and other equipment as described in the department rounds. * Performs and acts as a security guard as situations warrant. * Performs maintenance responds to requests for air adjustments, thermostats, and related control equipment to maintain a controlled environment. * Performs daily tasks required to ensure that physical plant equipment is operating safely and at peak performance. * Performs required testing on all physical plant equipment and systems. Take required readings of equipment as required. * Assists in developing the plants predictive and preventative maintenance programs. Performs predictive and preventative maintenance as required. * Monitors all gas systems and takes corrective actions to ensure safe and adequate gas flows are maintained. * Assists in performing all code and TJC required equipment and systems testing and inspection.
