American Express Travel Related Services seeks Senior Managers, Product Development to support the development of software products in alignment with business objectives and create business and technical documentation as required by the development lifecycle. Define product scope and objectives, ensure compliance with standards and best practices, and drive production issue management, analysis, and issue tracking.

Ensure product and capability areas are controlled through a defined roadmap aimed at improving time to market, reduced operational risk, and increased business value. Create features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria within business and technology initiatives. Work closely with technology teams to develop, test, and deliver defined capabilities and rapidly iterate new solutions.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, and 3 years of experience leading large-scale product development projects through all phases of the systems development lifecycle. Experience must include a minimum of: 1 year of experience with product design and development; 1 year of experience with business systems analysis, including requirements analysis and definition; 1 year of experience with root cause analysis, developing business process flows, and designing, building, and testing application code; 1 year of experience monitoring and improving systems for credit card or other financial products; 1 year of experience with presenting complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences; 1 year of experience with leading and influencing development partners in a cross-functional environment; and 1 year of experience with Agile rapid application development, HP Quality Center, MS Excel and SharePoint, MS Visio, Scrum methodologies, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.

Description Reporting to the Director, B2B Network Product Strategy, this role is an exciting opportunity for a talented product leader to contribute to the Network Strategy to build a robust & scalable payment scheme for the company, leveraging the modernized network and its capabilities. This includes creating network services and solutions for product sets such as B2B, cross border and other business financing solutions. This Manager will have the opportunity to stay on the cutting edge of innovative and disruptive digital payment solutions and directly contribute to the success of American Express. The Manager will focus on the following key responsibilities: * Conduct research and analysis to develop insights that will allow for the identification of new Network service offerings to drive growth for American Express and our Network Partners * Engage internal business unit leaders and partners to understand customer needs, collaborate on new/relevant product concepts, and present implementable solutions to gain alignment on product strategy. * Develop the Network solutions and capabilities, collaborating with all business groups across the organization, to deliver the flawless execution of product delivery including infrastructure, technology, and processes with a focus on delivering maximum value * Develop robust business cases, key metrics for success, and plans to monitor and realize stated benefits. Assess product KPIs and identify opportunities to grow adoption, improve profitability, and/or expand use cases. * Help articulate & track the value proposition of 'on' network assets * Develop key outcome-based metrics to monitor progress * Define and validate use cases with key internal stakeholders * Monitor relevant industry trends, competitive landscape, digital trends, and customer feedback to refine product strategies and roadmaps * Develop cohesive presentations that articulate B2B strategy and outcomes to internal and external partners * At least four years' experience in Strategy, Product Development and/or Management Consulting * Experience in developing new product strategies, business cases, go to market plans, and product roadmaps. * Passion for payments and innovation: Passion to drive delivery in a fast-moving and innovative environment. Knowledge of payments industry and disruptive technologies, ideally expertise in digital payments, e.g., push payments. * Demonstrated strong relationship/partnership experience; leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams to manage large scale product launches, including test & learn pilots. * Intellectual curiosity: High-intellectual curiosity, out-of-the-box, creative & critical thinker with experience in complex problem solving and strategic thought leadership. * Entrepreneurial spirit: Ability to mobilize and lead cross-functional team collaboration to drive results in a fast paced, multi-partner environment with constant change. Demonstrated track record for driving results in complex and highly-matrixed organizations. * Nimble team player: Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and effectively operate in ambiguity, white space, and quickly-evolving priorities. * Effective communicator and influencer: Excellent communication skills, proficient in developing excellent quality presentations and deliverables for an executive audience.
