The Senior Manager is responsible for developing the learning strategies and programs (internal learning) for strategic products/procedures for the Electrophysiology business and may lead other strategic projects for the Medical Devices business. The Senior Manager will develop learning continuums, learning strategies and content/programs that support a 30/40/30 blended learning training model. The Senior Manager will partner with the functional/regional leaders in Global Education Solutions as well as senior commercial leaders across the organization to align on global Biosense Webster (BW) learning strategy and to ensure a high degree of execution consistency.
Partners with GES functional leads and commercial business leaders to translate business strategy to implement global learning standards.
Creates the global standards around learning strategy and designs/develops Electrophysiology learning programs to improve the clinical / sales proficiency of the field organizations
Manages team of learning strategists, oversees their projects and manages team's development
Collaborates with marketing/functional partners and builds/oversees global content for prioritized product launches as part of the Launch Excellence process and ensures content is accessible to regional teams
Builds and/or oversees the build, execution, measurement and adjustment of Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programs to regional partners to ensure seamless hand off of content for all learning experiences
Ensures adherence to established global standards and adoption of best practices that help drive business results.
Ensures compliance of all training materials and drives global compliance to the learning digital strategy, communication strategy and digital asset library.
Develops and maintains operating budget for team
Manages the selection and evaluation of all vendor partners
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required
Minimum of eight (8) years in progressive Healthcare roles (e.g., Clinical, Sales, Sales Training, Prof Ed, Brand Marketing and/or Sales Management) is required
Strong clinical expertise in cardiac electrophysiology, 3D mapping and intracardiac ultrasound is required
Strong influence management and communications skills are required
Proven ability to understand business strategy; translate it into learning strategies that support the company's business goals is required
Ability to effectively motivate, collaborate with and communicate to a team of professionals is required
Experience working with professionals who may be working in other locations in the US and outside the US is preferred
Experience in instructional design process; from needs assessment, design, development, implementation and analysis of training programs is preferred
Project management experience is preferred
Experience with use of metrics and analytics to measure impact is preferred
This position will be located in Irvine, CA and will require up to 30% domestic/international travel
