Deliver an end-to-end user experience across every user touch point for Honeywell AERO, using well established human-centered design principles to ensure that Honeywell products and applications are the most useful, usable and desirable products in the marketplace. You will contribute directly to creating the next generation of user experiences on a wide variety of products.
This role will report to the Aerospace VP HUE and will be the single point of contact for HUE to the Engines & Power Systems organization. The Engines & Power Systems HUE leader will be responsible for leading and driving a human centered design culture and embedding user experience design on major offerings and strategic initiatives. This role will work closely with the offering management, strategy and product line leaders to develop new offerings. In this role, you will lead customer research efforts to discover customer needs, high value insights as well as validate concepts. This role will work closely with User Interface and Industrial Designers to provide end-to-end design requirements and direction on design efforts. This position will work closely with Aerospace HUE Leadership and the HUE Design Studios to drive deployment of critical HUE programs.
Puts 'Users' as central focus for all design related activities.
Facilitate the radical idea generation to develop them into a feasible solutions & viable business propositions which maximizes the larger business objectives.
Builds a shared understanding of the business model and value creation.
Conduct research and synthesize user insights to build unique & compelling user experiences which can be differentiators to create value.
Identifies and quantifies customer needs through continuous discovery. Defines end-to-end customer journey maps, personas and experience outcomes.
Creates a culture of rapid idea generation and viability assessment, to shift the boundaries of thinking.
Providing a clear, consistent voice on end-to-end User Experience design to project teams and stakeholders.
Collaborate with HUE Design Studios for scoping, tracking and developing HUE resource plans.
Lead design efforts across global design team members
Support Program Design Reviews and ensuring program alignment with Enterprise strategies
Identify appropriate updates to design direction based upon testing and iteratively refine.
Make informed and pragmatic tradeoffs across design objectives, engineering constraints, and business needs.
Build organizational capability through resource onboarding/training, evangelization, and process integration.
YOU MUST HAVE
7+ years of hands-on user experience design and leadership experience
User experience design portfolio or concepts and commercialized products examples
Bachelor's degree in human factors, psychology, user experience design or related degree
Proficient user experience design skills, e.g., customer journey map, experience diagramming, task analysis, workflow design, etc.
Experience conducting formative and summative user research
Fluent with design sketching and prototyping tools
Experience with design trends, benchmarking, forecasting and concept creation
Experience with project planning, scoping and execution in a phase-gate and agile environment
