As the Digital Audit Methodology Leader, you will:

  • Lead development of methodology related to use of data, technology, analytics and machine learning to perform audit engagements.

  • Interpret auditing standards, draft methodology, guidance and audit manual content related to same.

  • Collaborate with digital audit team on methodology matters related to use of technology to conduct the audit.

  • Collaborate with training personnel related to use of developed digital audit technology to conduct the audit.

  • Collaborate with national office personnel related to auditing standards and their implications on related to use of digital audit technology to conduct the audit.

This role may be based on the East coast and Central region, but the preferred geographies are New York, New Jersey, Chicago, and Dallas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting.

  • Solid experience in planning audit engagements, supervising personnel and developing audit work programs.

  • Experience working with audit methodology at a major public accounting firm, including public company and private company audit methodologies, tools and processes as well as advanced technology tools such as ADA.

  • Deep understand of the audit risk model and risk assessment process.

  • Strong understanding of both private company and public company auditing standards and the audit process.

  • Understanding of technology and how it is expected to change the audit.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Ability to think creatively, innovate and manage projects.

  • This position will require periodic travel.

Qualifications * 7 to 10 years of recent public accounting external audit experience, including 5-6 years of public accounting manufacturing& distribution and general commercial client experience. SEC experience is a plus. * Your skills should include organization, communication, technical, time management, and accounting and auditing as you work effectively with clients and adequately handle multiple engagements and teams. * It is important that you interact with clients, prospects, all levels of staff, and colleagues in a professional fashion. * We require prior experience with business development and preparation of proposals as well as supervising engagement team members and instructing them on completing assigned tasks. * This position requires you to be a licensed CPA in the state of New York or New Jersey or be able to be licensed in home office state. * Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
