Senior Manager - Bid Management and Commercial Finance

Why this role matters
As you will develop and champion effective bid and commercial strategies for a Vertical. Drive efficient and profitable growth for the Technology, Life Sciences and Business Services vertical through the provision of commercial recommendations related to bids. Provide strategic commercial direction to Vertical MDs in order to balance risk with reward for both individual bids and for the Vertical's overall strategy and drive an increasing win-rate of bids for the Vertical, through high quality proposals.
What you'll be doing
Accountable for reviewing all non-standard and complex bids for a given Industry Vertical, to ensure they have gone through the appropriate WNB process, adhere to all required governance and compliance and they are costed and priced accurately
Accountable for identifying, ensuring appropriate analysis and documentation and escalating risks related to a bid,; makes recommendations to enable informed decisions
Accountable for assigning Bid Management and Commercial Finance resources to bids depending on bid requirements and experience required; works with the other Vertical BM and CF leads to allocate resources optimally
Accountable for managing escalations/ conflicts in pulling together Teams
Helps to identify where changes in Vertical strategy are required and proposes these to the Vertical MD and account teams
Accountable for effective project management of bids for the Vertical
Accountable for BM and CF people management of a given region

Present business plans, forecasts and risks to senior internal GS stakeholders with clarity.
Telecommunication industry knowledge and experience.
Manage conflicts of interest well at all levels.
Drives the business forward, making change happen and challenging the status quo.
Senior qualified accountant with significant experience of successfully managing and negotiating high value (50m ), highly complex bids.
