Role Description

As the Senior Manager Technical Accounting at Dropbox, you will be a key member of the Corporate Accounting & Reporting team and will serve as a company-wide technical accounting resource for Dropbox to provide dedicated accounting insights to management. You will lead the Technical Accounting process and will be a catalyst in the SEC Reporting process by drafting disclosures and assisting in the review of complex or judgmental areas. You will also play and integral part in helping support the other accounting teams in drafting and reviewing of new accounting policies including helping to maintain existing ones.

VIEW JOBS 12/13/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-13T00:00 Senior SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager San Francisco, Full-time The Senior SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager will be responsible for accounting documentation over a variety of areas and support external reporting requirements. You should have a strong accounting background, be able to prioritize multiple projects while meeting goals and have strong attention to detail. In addition, you will develop strong working relationships with cross-functional partners and various levels of management. Responsibilities * Collaborate with other groups and/or departments to assess the reporting implications of changes in US GAAP, ensure compliance with new and/or amended standards/interpretations, coordinate changes, and ensure availability of requisite information for financial reporting * Take ownership for accounting activities in specialized areas, such as: Equity Accounting, M&A, Financial Statement * Footnotes, Statement of Cash Flows * Analyze significant contracts to ensure they are accounted for in compliance with GAAP requirements * Coordinate the annual audit and quarterly reviews with external auditors, accounting team and executive management * Assist with the preparation of quarterly earnings releases and SEC filings (in the event of a future IPO) * Maintain, update, and evaluate new accounting policies * Lead or participate in special projects as necessary Requirements * A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent * CPA required * Big 4 and similar experience with public companies * Comprehensive and current understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting principles and regulations * Knowledge of US GAAP accounting and Sarbanes-Oxley / internal control frameworks * Strong computer skills including Word and Excel and comfortable learning new packages and implementing new technologies Bonus points * Have the "roll-up the sleeves" approach in order to accomplish all necessary tasks * Outstanding oral and written communication skills * Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Who we are Unity is the creator of the world's most widely-used real-time 3D (RT3D) development platform, providing content creators around the world with the tools they need to build rich, interactive 2D, 3D, VR and AR experiences.
