VIEW JOBS 1/14/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-14T00:00 Job Title: Senior Manager, Corporate Development Primary Duties & Responsibilities: * In close partnership with marketing and R&D, plan and execute of strategies to meet organizational objectives with an immediate focus on preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) PGT and adjacent reproductive health testing (RHT) markets that will impact the direction and performance of the company in this area. * Maintain active relationships with existing RHT and OEM partners and proactively address business issues and identify ways to maximize value for both parties. * Expand relationships with existing RHT and OEM partners by uncovering expansion opportunities. * Act as the global resource across the organization to increase cohesion of strategic plan for new business development in RHT and OEM and enhance Takara's reputation as a preferred partner. * Oversee RHT market analysis, monitor competitive activity, and identify market/customer needs. * Conduct organizational assessments to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities and to evaluate strategic relevance in RHT. * Work in partnership with marketing to identify opportunities for campaigns, activities and distribution channels that will lead to an increase brand visibility and opportunities in RHT markets. * Analyze RHT and adjacent market for expansion opportunities and reports to Sr. Management and cross-functional teams on recommendations to pursue. * Frame strategic topics to be discussed and lead conversation with cross-functional teams at regular RHT and OEM meetings and periodically update Sr. Management on strategy and progress. * In partnership with R&D, develop and maintain relationships with relevant key opinion leaders as a resource for technology trends, product ideas, partnering and licensing opportunities. * Provide customer feedback on current product technologies to R&D and marketing for product enhancements and new product and service ideas. * Attend industry events and review publications and announcements to expand networks, identify new partnerships and technology opportunities and track competitor activities. * Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within the company to execute on and close strategic partnership opportunities including, operations, R&D, finance, marketing and Corporate Development Teams. * Qualify, structure, negotiate, draft term sheets and contracts, and manage strategic partnerships that will drive technology adoption, market expansion and business growth. * Identify and track relevant metrics of success and regularly report status to manager and periodically to the Sr. Management team. Qualifications: * Able to think strategically and creatively about partnerships and business relationships. * Proven ability to use all resources effectively to identify new technologies, business opportunities and potential strategic partners. Must be able to target opportunities and close deals. * Understands and acts in accordance to applicable licenses and intellectual property. * Must be very well organized. * Cross-functional team leadership/project management—including excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills. * A high-energy performer with a sense of urgency and passion for results. * Able to travel as required.
