The Role

As part of the newly formed Talent Management team, the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition will be responsible for leading the recruitment strategy and delivery through our Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) partner. They will also be accountable for all interim and consultant engagements via the outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP).

The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition will work with the Talent Management team, strategic HR partners, Workforce Planning, and other relevant teams/functions to ensure the RPO and MSP are resourced and aligned to deliver on the Open Society's talent needs. You will also be responsible for driving compliance with Open Society's talent acquisition standards and processes, including the best-practice usage of Workday.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Manager Unit Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Developing and executing the overall talent acquisition strategy, including RPO and MSP solutions, to support the talent management needs of the Open Society Foundations

  • Setting the RPO strategy and managing the service delivery to ensure best-in-class recruitment outcomes

  • Developing and managing the MSP strategy for all temporary and consultant staffing, including oversight of legal compliance for all countries

  • Managing the core outsourced recruitment team (approximately 8 members) and the scalable niche requirements outsourced team (approximately 5-10 members)

  • Driving continuous improvement of recruiting processes and ensuring 100% compliance with Open Society's governance standards

  • Translating the Employer Brand activation and Employee Value Proposition (EVP) into all recruitment processes for the RPO and MSP teams

  • Developing and managing the preferred supplier strategy, including high-quality relationships with outsourced vendors and third-party agencies

  • Taking responsibility for all recruitment policy documentation and ensuring consistent and accurate information about recruitment at Open Society, both internally and externally

  • Leading the change management of talent acquisition process improvements, ensuring a smooth transition for a wider audience

Experience

The ideal candidate for the role of Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition must have the following non-negotiable experience:

  • Proven track record of implementing or leading outsourced recruitment service providers, such as RPO or MSP solutions including the overall budget responsibility for a $1M+ relationship, either from the client-side or buy-side

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing talent acquisition teams, both internal and external, with the ability to set short-term and medium-term operational plans

  • Expertise in managing and developing preferred supplier relationships to effectively deliver on global demands for different worker types, including permanent, temporary, fixed-term, and consultant contractors

  • Deep understanding of talent selection methodologies and the effective use of external assessment suppliers in the recruitment process

  • Experience in driving recruitment process improvements, with prior exposure to Workday to enhance compliance and maximize system usage

  • Proven ability to lead people - both directly employed staff and complex outsourced teams

The salary range for this role is $102,500 - $189,600. The final offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set and level of experience.
