As a Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, you will lead a team of 9 talent acquisition partners (TAPs) to hire and promote a talented and diverse North America sales and service workforce, enabling Commercial HVAC to win! This is a superb opportunity to impact our company with the department comprising approximately 40% of North America hiring.


You'll do this through excellent partnerships with senior human resources, sales, and service leaders that craft the most effective recruiting culture. We believe this culture includes all three partners collaborating to plan and implement a tailored recruiting strategy aligned with our company's operating model. It also includes a shared accountability of TAPs, HR business partners, and hiring managers.

Success starts with developing an understanding of:

  • The HVAC and building controls industries

  • Trane's competitive landscape

  • The business long range, annual operating, and workforce plans

Then, you will actively plan how to reach agreed-upon partnership and performance levels. This includes flexing resources for strategic priorities and seasonal hiring peaks. You'll influence at multiple levels to find creative talent solutions.

You should have at least a bachelor's degree and 10 years of successful related experience.

VIEW JOBS 10/30/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-28T00:00 SUMMARY This position is responsible for identifying and developing new customers within the Industrial Refrigeration market, as well as managing relations and sales within the existing customer base. This position is expected to engage in both capital projects (turnkey contracting) and service opportunities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Other functions may be assigned. * Utilizes Account Management processes to identify key customers and to develop specific action plans to develop and grow Industrial Refrigeration accounts. * Identifies potential opportunities with existing and new customers * Collects project data and qualifies appropriate opportunities. * Converts leads into opportunities by utilizing the appropriate sales process, engaging the Industrial Refrigeration Engineering support team and communicating the next steps in the process. * Develops multiple relationships with buying influences in the customer's organization, including corporate leadership, facility managers, project engineers, construction, and purchasing. * Gathers or validates preliminary information and performs facility walkthrough or other customer interaction. * Determines project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet all of the customer's facility requirements. * Engages the internal Industrial Refrigeration Engineering/Development team to evaluate each opportunity and discusses possible solutions with customer. * Engages the Industrial Refrigeration team to select, price, and integrate equipment, controls, and services for each project. * Prepares, finalizes, and reviews preliminary proposal. * Validates the preliminary offering with customer. * Works with the Industrial Refrigeration team to determine proposal price and selling strategy. * Prepares and reviews contract terms and conditions using standard Trane contract templates when applicable. * Presents the proposal to the customer and follows up with buying influences. * Works with the Industrial Refrigeration team to prepare transition documents and communicates project readiness for assignment to operations team. * Resolves major deviations from scope with team after Project Scope Validation. * Develops and executes an account specific business plan to identify the long term, mutual support requirements required to facilitate a strong, profitable and successful partnership. * Provides total account business reports and annual forecasts. * Provides knowledge and consultation in the form of developing facility-related solutions for the customer's problems, including financial and performance-based service considerations. * Consistently ascertains customer needs and current market opportunities. Assembles and coordinates project team as needed for customers and projects. * Assesses target markets to analyze potential opportunities for both capital/contracting work and ongoing service. * Provides marketplace feedback, including competitive information, customer expectations, industry trends, etc. * Presents the performance contracting or other complex Trane offering conceptually to executive buyers. * Manages internal and external engineering/project management resources through job development. * Facilitates financing and legal/contract review process. * Meets or exceeds gross margin requirements. * Relates customer's needs to the appropriate people in the office. * Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required.
