We have an immediate opening for a team-oriented, highly effective and motivated leader to be part of a large Service Provider focused System Engineering Team.
This SE Manager will be focused on Strategic Delivery of products and software.
Key Responsibilities: The primary role of a Systems Engineering Manager is to provide leadership and guidance to the Systems Engineering team.
The System Engineering Team is a critical component to the sales team and is designed to display an in-depth knowledge about the Juniper suite of products and other industry products and solutions.
This Systems Engineering Manager position is focused on Strategic Delivery of products and software.
The Systems Engineering Manager is responsible for the progress of all engineering projects involving the customer and needs to have strong project management skills and report a weekly status to the Systems Engineering Director.
Job Requirements: Skills and Experience: Build a strong engagement and interlock between our engineering organization and customers planning organization to drive evolution of key platforms, architectures and solutions.
Drive game changing engagement across various Business Units and with key customers on software development process via new and global interlock process.
Develop, manage and drive key performance metrics across company to ensure Juniper excels on its customer experience.
Execute and be fully responsible for Requirements Interlock within the Joint Plan of Record (JPOR) across product lines and across customer networks.
Drive Requirements Interlocks and participate in Certification Interlocks and Deployment Interlocks.
Ensure our product development cycle incorporates customer requirements.
Ability to build executive-level partnerships and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and customers; superior planning, organizational, communication, change management, and cultural awareness skills, including financial and global business acumen; ability to assimilate diverse testing requirements from multiple groups and organizations and crystallize them into clear communications and solutions; experience with product development life-cycle, customer networks, IP core, Security, Switching and IP Edge routing; and experience working with large SP customers in influencing decision-making.
Minimum of 10 years general networking industry experience, including a practicing knowledge one or more of the following: Routing, Switching, Security, MPLS and MPLS VPNs, Edge CoS, and general exposure to IETF drafts and standards.
Thorough understanding of the pre-sales engineering process and sales processes.
