Supply Chain Management is hiring multiple Supply Chain Technical Support Senior Managers who will be responsible for leading and managing a multiskilled technical team of Engineers and technically focused professionals dedicated to driving Supply Chain performance in direct support of Business Unit programs.

The Supply Chain Technical Support Senior Manager will have an understanding of Supply Chain Engineering, Supplier Quality and Tooling functional disciplines and deploy those resources effectively to support Supplier Management and Procurement Operations. The Supply Chain Technical Support Senior Manager will be required to integrate with Blue Manufacturing Operations, Program Management and Engineering to resolve technical, producibility and operational issues as it relates to supplier product quality, on-time delivery and cost.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of managing teams that have supported recovery, qualification, product review (MRB), and integration of supplied subsystems into aerospace vehicles.  This role will develop teams that technically manage suppliers through all phases of Blue's technical maturity into sustainable full rate production. Secondary responsibilities will include standardizing Supply Chain technical functions across Business Units through the creation and management of KPIs, command media and job aids.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, Master's degree with 5 years of experience in relevant Manufacturing/Engineering discipline

  • Experience managing, coaching and developing a high performing team to meet agreed objectives while delivering best practice results and continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Track record of technical management of aerospace sub-system acquisition projects with aggressive schedules in any of the following commodities: Avionics, Castings, Composites, Energetics, Fluid Systems, Forgings, Mechanical Systems, Ordnance, Turbomachinery, Machined Parts, and Pressurized Systems

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, program risk, system architecture trade-offs, and proposal of new ideas with internal and external partners

  • Experience in supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities

  • Experience collaborating with suppliers on process improvement and value engineering and DFx opportunities

  • Experience in reviewing technical drawings

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to substantiate hypothesis, make recommendations, and drive improvement actions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate complex ideas, anticipate potential objections and persuade others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view

  • Occasional travel required, including international

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired:

  • Experience in manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Experience in New Product Integration (NPI)

  • Six Signa / Lean Skills

  • Change Management / Transformation skills

Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $143,813-$201,337

Compensation range for on site CO applicants is $132,234-$185,128

Other site ranges may differ
