Under minimal supervision, position is responsible for commercial and clinical supply planning, inventory control, and systems functions to meet Company supply objectives.

Will collaborate cross functionally with various department leads both internally at Nalpropion (US and Ireland) and with Contract Service Providers (CSP's).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform commercial and clinical supplies product planning activities, including, but not limited to supply planning, on-time placement of Purchase Orders (PO's), and coordinating order fulfillment for on-time delivery to purchase order requirements.

  • Coordinates, facilitates, and documents Global Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) monthly meeting, bringing together Global Supply Chain, Technical Operations, Finance, Quality Assurance, and Commercial Operations (Business Development and Demand Management).

  • Leads Global Supply Planning meetings with US and OUS Supply Chain team, Finance, and Tech Ops, ensuring alignment on monthly

production plans, forecasts, and any other supply chain topics.

  • Complying with all aspects of Supply Agreement sections pertaining to timeliness of submitted forecasts and purchase orders, pricing, and contractual exclusivity and/or minimums.

  • Enter and maintain forecasts into planning tool (EXCEL and/or ERP system), coordinating with OUS Supply Chain team on Partner demand.

  • Lead ERP enhancements and systems training for new users, ensuring department system work instruction are written and maintained for use by others.

  • Maintain up-to-date purchase order information in appropriate system.

  • Establish and maintain inventory goals, working to strike a balance between risk mitigation and reduction of working capital.

  • Performs timely inventory transactions as required to ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Coordinates and performs periodic Cycle Counts, annual Physical Inventory and month end inventory activities with contract service providers (CSP's).

  • Identifies and investigates variances, works with Nalpropion's CSP's and Finance to resolve.

  • Support Supply Chain Management activities such as maintenance of RACI document, supply chain flows, standard operating procedures, and evolving supply chain functions between US and OUS.

  • Leads production planning budget activities and communicates within Technical Operations and Quality to ensure alignment on annual spend and resource planning.

  • Assist with the development and issuance of department metrics, supporting corporate and departmental goals and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP).

  • Works with CSP's, Quality, Finance and other functional areas to coordinate and resolve inventory, shipping and destruction issues.

  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

  • Comply with all Nalpropion's Corporate, Security, GxP, SOX, Departmental policies and procedures and other applicable regulations.

  • Assists with oversight of 3PL, including pick, label, pack and ship activities.

  • Coordinates operations and planning activities for product support with 3PL supplier; including product supply and demand with order allocations, deliveries, packaging and product dating.

Job Requirements:

Education: 4 year college degree in business; or related degree required. Equivalent experience may be acceptable. APICS certification desirable.

Experience: 10 - 12 years of materials management experience required (production planning, inventory control, and logistics). Prior ERP experience in a similar role required. Experience in a pharmaceutical or similar FDA regulated industry utilizing cGMP's preferred. Thorough knowledge and understand of Planning/Supply Chain concepts and tools and Inventory Control processes.

  • Ability to travel approximately 1 5 trips per year as required (both domestic and international).

  • Customer service oriented with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required

  • Ability to work overtime as needed required.

We look forward to discovering your talents. POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Manager of Supply Chain leads and owns planning and inventory management activities in support of Halozyme's operations. Working cross-functionally and collaborating with individuals and functions both within Halozyme and at third parties, he/she will drive activities to ensure effective planning, availability and supply of materials to meet internal and external requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These may include but are not limited to: * Evaluate and plan requirements for materials and production services * Manage procurement of materials, including the issuance of purchase orders for supply, coordination and follow up on deliveries * Track inventory of materials and ensure accuracy of inventory records * Support supply scenario planning and assessment and may present to Senior Management or other stakeholders to support decision-making * Generate, provide and share reports and other information across internal and external functions supporting supply operations to ensure alignment and understanding of supply requirements and schedules * Collaborate with Halozyme Finance team to provide inventory and material data to support accounting, budgeting and other financial activities * Maintain and update the Halozyme transportation network including set up of new shipping lanes and new logistical providers, when required * Coordinate and lead shipping validation activities for new products or shipping lanes * Manage coordination and execution of shipments of materials ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Represent Supply Chain on various cross-functional initiatives and projects * Support definition and improvement of business processes for Supply Chain activities * Other duties as assigned EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Minimum of Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business or a related field with at least 8 years of work experience with at least 3 years in supply chain management in a pharmaceutical manufacturing/development environment (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) * Strong working knowledge of MRP and other supply chain concepts * Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills * Proficient in data analysis and data management (e.g., inventory records, demand/supply data) with excellent attention to detail * Good communication skills both verbally and in writing * Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic, complex and fast-paced environment * Proven ability to collaborate with teams and develop good working relationships across functions and departments * Previous experience with shipping validation is a plus TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Equipment: PC, scanners, facsimile machine, voice mail and e-mail systems, and common office machines, or ability to be trained.
