Our Auburn Hills, MI location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented Senior Manager- Supply Chain Management to join our Business Unit Original Equipment Tires the Americas group. THE POSITION

Responsible for Supply Chain Management (SCM) operations, systems, and processes for Business Unit Original Equipment Tires the Americas organization (BU OE AM), including but not limited to demand planning, lifecycle management (launch, end of production, critical out of yield management), inventory management, order management, transportation, logistics cost management, operational crisis management, and customer service operations. Lead development and execution of strategic and tactical actions to continuously improve BU OE AM SCM operations with short- and long-term perspectives with the goal to eliminate non-value adding tasks, and by implementing best practices and lessons learned.

  • Responsible for active collaboration with BU OE AM functions, i.e. Key Account Management (KAM), Controlling, R&D, Quality, as the SCM business partner to provide competitive and value creation focused solutions to serve BU OE AM customers' needs.

  • Collaborate with SCM Americas, manufacturing plants, and Global Customer Supply Chain organizations to run

BU OE AM SCM operations effectively and efficiently to meet short- and long-term needs of BU OE AM customers.

  • Collaborate with KAM, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure SCM and logistics related CSRs are implemented.

  • Support KAM in maintaining relevant internal and external tools/databases/portals. As required, support relevant customer complaint handling activities, and support KAM to ensure timely response to SCM related customer business needs through collaboration with relevant functions across the organization.

  • Collaborate with BU OE AM Management team and HR Business Partner to manage career development of BU OE AM SCM associates. Identify current and future SCM associate skill set needs, develop function specific training plans, monitor training effectiveness.

  • Local sub process owner for demand, order and inventory management processes. Support internal and external audit activities.

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant supply chain management experience

  • Experience in leading teams.

  • Experience running processes on SAP

  • Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will only sponsor internal Continental employees for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

  • Continental is willing to offer a sign-on bonus to candidates that are relocating but we not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 years or more and master's is preferred

  • Previous tire industry experience.
