The Sr. Manager of Spend Analytics and Market Intelligence is responsible for developing, deploying, and engraining best practices throughout the organization related to spend analytics, measuring performance to improve cross-functional decision-making, tracking key performance indicators and compliance to Procurement programs, reporting category level savings and developing supplier market expertise to inform supplier negotiations. The Spend Analytics and Market Intelligence team will take a consultative approach to supporting not only the Global Sourcing team, but also stakeholders in Finance and business teams across the enterprise to provide the businesses with accurate and timely spend and supply market information needed to effectively source and procure goods and services. This role reports into the Chief Procurement Officer.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Spend Analysis and Opportunity Assessment

  • Develop enterprise wide spend analytics program utilizing data from multiple ERP systems to categorize addressable spend and identify expense management opportunities

  • Lead the development/implementation of critical analytic infrastructure tools to advance spend analytics maturity

  • Support data and analysis requests and work with team to analyze data and challenge / discuss supplemental or complementary data sources

  • Bring innovation and continuously improve internal and external data gathering, data cleansing (including anomaly detection), analysis and visualization techniques and solutions

  • Ensure all data sources, data flows, and business rules for spend analytics tool are defined and documented to capture supplier spend at relevant levels such as category, cost center, etc.

Sourcing and Decision Support Analytics

  • Perform analytics and provide multi-dimensional, fact based analysis to drive differentiated decision making. This support includes coordinating operational budget and forecast information, providing spend intelligence, maintaining key market data / trends, analyzing spend patterns, conducting should-cost modeling, TCO, and models for make vs buy

  • Identifies key market intelligence gathering strategy and external data sources and tools to enable tracking and dissemination of information

  • Cultivates supplier market expertise to develop and maintain supplier tiering models, category portfolio reporting, supplier landscape and competitive positioning

Procurement Operational Analytics

  • Oversee coordination and alignment of the many initiatives in-flight within the sourcing and procurement organization bringing attention to highest priority initiatives considering the pipeline in its entirety and ensure the pipeline progresses at highest possible velocity

  • Maintenance of all key performance management metrics and KPI's for Procurement

  • Programmatic management of benefits forecasting, validation and sign-off processes to recognize delivery performance. Create and maintain real-time reports & dashboards that highlight and Global Sourcing's value to our organization

  • Defines requirements of regular analysis and reporting of supplier performance, as well as risk assessment (financial, inherent, responsible purchasing etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or similar; MBA preferred

  • 5 years' experience working within Procurement or Finance disciplines

  • 2 years of leadership/management experience

  • Ability to collate and create actionable reports from vast amounts of data

  • Ability to synthesize analysis into compelling verbal and written communications and presentations

  • Self-starter, ability to work independently or as a part of a team

  • Strong detail orientation and focus on quality work product due to the complex and sensitive need for data integrity

  • Business awareness with numerical ability coupled with a strong sense of curiosity

  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles and processes

  • Procurement experience in a Fortune 500 company preferred

  • Previous experiences assessing multiple ERP systems

  • Previous experience mapping and understanding understand data flow and the ability to be able to drive business analytics for the procurement function

  • Ability to work closely with key senior level stakeholders in IT, business finance etc

  • Knowledge and experience with these systems/tools is preferred: Oracle, Tableau, Microsoft Excel/Access/PowerPoint/SharePoint

  • Advanced level experience in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, index/match, sumifs/countifs, graphs and waterfall charts, etc.) and databases

  • Experience with data visualization tools

  • Detailed oriented with the ability to track multiple action items, resources, and deliverables

  • Strong relationship building skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders at different levels and within a global environment across geographies

  • Able to lead and mentor a team

Major Areas of Accountability * Ensures Wholesale and LOB strategies are aligned and being executed through product roadmaps. * Identifies and tracks Key Performance Metrics; accountable to ensure that KPIs are delivering the necessary business value. * Ensures outcomes on the roadmap fit within capacity constraints, are prioritized, and sequenced in order to maximize value to the customer. * Accountable to ensure product teams understand the business outcomes needed, and that business outcomes are tied to a broader business goal or objective. * Leads cross-functional team to manage and prioritize product roadmap and releases across multiple products. * Analyzes and merges data across multiple sources to ensure alignment with business definitions. * Responsible for relationship with Risk, Compliance and Credit in support of their data requests across the Wholesale businesses. * Translates data to insights; utilizes data to improve the customer experience and customer-facing processes. * Collaborates across product teams to develop and roll out operational plans. * Resolves conflicts in a constructive manner when they arise. * Researches and identifies industry best practices and trends to increase effectiveness. * Acquires, maintains and applies advanced knowledge of the business, its products and processes. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience * 7 years relevant business experience, banking or financial services domain knowledge preferred. * Passion and understanding of new technology and trends including data science, AI, Modeling, etc. * Strong communicator including the ability to communicate to all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organization. * Proven success developing business cases, roadmaps, product execution strategies. * Experience managing and leading cross functional teams.
