About the Role

Want to play a critical financial reporting role within a newly public dynamic company? This role will report to the Director of Financial Reporting and be part of the Veralto Corporate Finance Team.

Your Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting and Policy role is responsible for overseeing and managing the preparation and filing of all Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines. You will collaborate with various departments to gather financial data, analyze disclosures, and maintain accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. This role will have exposure across the organization and be critical in helping meet Veralto's various reporting and accounting requirements.

Your Experience

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual reports (10-Qs and 10-Ks), including financial statements, footnotes, and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A). Conducting and overseeing disclosure research for new or changing requirements or business transactions, peer company analysis, as well as for the application and disclosure of new accounting or SEC standards. Supporting Director, Financial Reporting and Chief Accounting Officer for various disclosure and audit committee meetings, including preparation of presentations. Assist with financial data and metrics utilized by Investor Relations in communications with external stakeholders.

  • Technical Accounting Support: Review and oversight of the preparation of technical accounting assessments, including proper research and whitepaper documentation; determination of required journal entries, and coordination with global accounting teams. Areas of particular focus include accounting for debt-related transactions, lease accounting, revenue recognition and hedge accounting responsibilities.

  • Accounting Policy: Primary lead of the Company's development of and conformance with U.S. GAAP worldwide accounting policies, including management and updating of existing policies, establishment, documentation of and training on new policies, and maintaining the Company's published accounting policies on the Intranet.

  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness in SEC filings, providing insights and recommendations as necessary.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Accounting, Legal, and Finance teams, to gather necessary information and ensure timely and accurate reporting.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • External Audits: Coordinate and facilitate external audit processes related to SEC reporting, liaising with auditors and ensuring timely completion of audit requests.

  • Internal Controls: Maintain and strengthen internal controls related to SEC reporting, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.

Your Qualifications

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • CPA or equivalent certification a plus

  • 8-10 years of experience in public accounting and/or industry experience related to SEC reporting, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.

  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and proficiency in technical accounting standards.

  • Proficiency in Workiva and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
