Proactively attract, develop, and motivate a team of high-performing Sales Engineers, continually seeking innovative solutions for improving team effectiveness
Manage a team that presents complex sales and engineering proposals to C-level executives at large Enterprise and Fortune 500 companies
Manage and support the sales engineering team through direct client interaction, evoking confidence in our products and platform
Manage multiple customer engagements concurrently
Develop operating mechanisms to make team operation predictable and scalable
Manage RFI/RFP requests and contracting processes, standardize best practices, and establish SLAs to drive rapid cycle times and maximum opportunity conversion
Partner with our internal client-facing teams to ensure seamless client transitions, interacting with and influencing all levels of the organization, including senior executives
Works with sales function in the development of account plans for larger clients.
Provides product and solutions training and education to sales and other areas of the company as needed.
Promotes products and business solutions at conferences, forums, and seminars.
Collaborates with a variety of internal functional areas to ensure solutions are implemented and supported in line with client expectations.
Provides input on product development or enhancements to existing products to product marketing function.
5+ years as a Sales Engineer with at least 2+ years of experience managing a Sales Engineering team at a SaaS or Web-based company
Self contained leader who has a proven track record of tightly managing process refinement through productivity and performance metrics
Demonstrated ability to successfully implement processes that drive performance and increase scalability
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience leading RFI/RFP and contracting processes
Experience working in fast paced, high-growth start up environments a plus
