Astellas is announcing a Senior Manager, RWI Business and Market Analytics in Northbrook, IL.

Purpose & Scope:

The Senior Manager, RWI Business & Market Analytics is responsible for consulting with regional and global clients, thoroughly understanding their strategy and tactics, and utilizing real world analytics to address business opportunities. They will design and execute advanced analytic studies and in collaboration with the RWI Analytics team and external partners.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide actionable insights to regional and global stakeholders

  • Participates in cross functional team environments and handles a variety of concurrent projects including patient flows, market assessments, outcomes research, and others

  • Stays current on RWI data sources and advises on acquisitions, divestitures, and partnerships to improve divisional efficiency and drive innovation. Collaborates with Finance, Information Systems, and the RWI team to acquire new data.

  • Conducts statistical analyses and uses machine learning to estimate to better understand Astellas' markets and products of interest and presents the results to regional and global management.

  • Identify best practices within the region and collaborates with other regions to champion best practices and encourage innovation across regions

  • Maintains technical expertise on RWI systems and trains regional users to improve organizational efficiencies and increase RWI skills

  • Ensures that established RWI policies, methodology, standards, and practices are followed by employees, contract resources and third party partners.

  • Prioritizes work and budget based on the needs of business , organizes the description of the markets to be evaluated, develops analysis plans and the research designs for estimating business impact

Quantitative Dimensions:

  • Reduce outsourcing of RWI projects and increase regional efficiency

  • Identify new applications of existing data

Organizational Context:

Reports to Director, RWI Business and Market Analytics

This position requires close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Outcomes Research leaders.

Qualifications:

Required
1.Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Economics or other quantitative discipline
2.Minimum of 5-7 years statistical analysis and design experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
3.Experience managing and establishing partnerships with external vendors
4.Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees including senior management.
5.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL
6.Proficient in SAS, R, or Python
7.In-depth knowledge to Real World datasets within the United States (Optum, Humedica, IMS Health, Symphony, Truven, GEHealth, and others)
8.Working knowledge of various Outcomes Research and/or Marketing Analytics techniques
9.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to details, and the ability to multi-task.
10. Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills and ability to effectively manage cross-functional projects.
11. Ability to work independently in a dynamic fast paced environment, with shifting priorities and minimal supervision.

Preferred
1.M.S. or PhD in Statistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Economics or other quantitative discipline is preferred or MBA with Marketing Analytics/Decision Science Concentration
2.Working experience with market structure, patient flows, segmentation, adherence, and other applications are highly preferred.
3.Experience in a consulting firm

Purpose & Scope: The Director of Global Data Governance will lead and develop the implementation of the global data governance program, ensuring effective data management, change management, data standards and solutions. This individual must collaborate not only within the RWI group, but also across all divisions, enabling and aligning data management initiatives and processes. This role will work closely with the Information Governance committee ensuring strategic direction and implementation of the Data Governance roadmap. Success in this role requires staying current with the latest solutions, industry trends, standards, security and privacy policies and business applications in Data Governance. Success also requires effective and efficient strategic balancing of various stakeholder needs and opportunities across the enterprise. Essential Job Responsibilities: 1. Design, establish, implement and mature the global Data Governance strategic roadmap balancing priorities and opportunities related to data analytics and operations 2. Develop a data governance framework and set the standards to increase the opportunity / value creation, risk management, and processing of data across the enterprise 3. Create, manage and measure program metrics to drive program and report to Leadership teams 4. Establish cross functional operational model for alignment across various initiatives related to Data Governance 5. Accountable for data Governance Change management through relationships, socialization, and communications with internal and external partners 6. Serve as the subject matter expertise in Data Governance around processes, tools / technology, controls, and monitoring, with a key role global data governance initiatives 7. Accountable for ensuring successful implementation of a global data governance framework focused on data standards, policies, and processes to maximize the value of data assets, through quality and risk management 8. Develop and maintain enterprise inventory of data assets, solutions, and data management initiatives 9. Enable the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards 10. Responsible for continuous improvement of the Data Governance Program ensuring the program is maintained current with industry standards and support key company initiatives. Organizational Context: This role may be responsible for several contract resources and at least two Director-level or Manager level direct reports. Qualifications: Required * 10+ years of experience in data governance, data stewardship, data analysis preferably with experience across various data domains * Experience developing/implementing or operating an enterprise wide data governance program * Strong written and verbal communication skills required, with ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
