Position Summary

As the Sr Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for the management and oversight of our Quality Assurance Inspector Teams, and procedures central to part 91, 125 and 135 air carrier maintenance programs and operations.

Compensation Data

The posted salary ranges will default to that of your regional location and will not include any premiums. The baseline range will be as follows: $129,266.00 - $175,741.00

Minimum Requirements

  • FAA Airframe & Power plant license required

  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) license preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university preferred.

  • Five to seven years of related experience

  • Thorough knowledge of quality processes, procedures, and concepts in the functional area of aviation quality assurance

  • Initial experience in leading functional/cross-functional initiatives

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills to solve complex problems

  • Strong communication skills, especially in conveying areas of concern and remediation

  • Good influencing skills

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for management, oversight and mentoring of Quality Assurance Inspector team assigned to Maintenance Designee's and their aircraft.

  • Responsible for oversight and technical direction to Quality Assurance support staff related to Approved Mx Programs, MEL's Vendor Authorizations, Internal / External Account Access and Audit Scheduling

  • Assists Director of Quality Assurance and CASS Manager in the development of policies, procedures and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations related to air carrier aircraft and personnel.

  • Take part in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Industry audits including development of strong working relationships with inspectors and auditors.

  • Provides regulatory guidance to team members ensuring compliance on requirements and company policies.

  • Conducts permanent records review and audits as requested to include continual analysis of processes and procedures.

  • Ensures all inspection / maintenance documentation is correctly and accurately formatted to include proper airworthiness release and return to service when required.

  • Provides training to Designees, Outsource Maintenance Providers (OMP) and Authorized Person(s) as requested ensuring 14 CFR regulatory, GMM / AIM / MPM, and company compliance.

  • Monitors maintenance activity as assigned to ensure all aircraft are in compliance with airworthiness directives (AD's), mandatory or alert service bulletins and tracks to closure as required.

  • Ensures the MMEL / MEL / CDL / NEF for each assigned aircraft is current and notifies the Designee of changes.

  • Interacts with aircraft computerized maintenance tracking program (CMTP) vendors to ensure changes to maintenance programs are timely, accurate and systems being used stay current with industry and regulatory best practices.

  • Additional duties and responsibilities as detailed in the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Maintenance Procedures Manual (MPM) Represents Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions although most of the time is in an office, workstation, shared space, and/or warehouse. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace.
