SENIOR MANAGER, QUALITY ASSURANCE

The Senior Manager, Quality Assurance will ensure quality and compliance of the OTC drug and cosmetic products manufactured at the plant; Manage the activity of the quality department and ensure the factory delivers Quality products in compliance with Safety, Quality and Regulatory requirements; meeting customers and consumers expectations.
THE ROLE
In this role you will be responsible for:
Lead and manage the QA & QC teams to deliver key performance indicator results that support the Coty Hunt Valley's strategic objectives, goals, strategies and measures (OGSMs)
Provide direction and support the daily management and work prioritization of a team of 14+ to achieve process and product quality goals
Assure compliance with FDA & Health Canada regulations for OTC Drug and Cosmetics, as well as all other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations
Assure compliance with Corporate QA/QC policies and procedures
Manage site Quality Systems including Product Release, Written Procedures, Complaint Management, Quality Investigations and CAPA Program, GMP's, Quality Training, Internal Audits, Vendor Quality Management, etc.
Leads, develops and empowers Quality Technicians engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, lab facilities, and products
Collaborate and provide QA leadership in processes such as investigations, corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans, complaints, risk management, risk assessments
Partner with Operations teams to identify, investigate, and communicate documented root cause and corrective actions to eliminate quality defects
Evaluate audit observation trends and compliance risks and escalate to QA Management, as required
Participate ( eg , host/co-host inspections, lead or support inspection back-room/preparation room activities) during external and regulatory agency inspections
Works cross functionally to solve problems and produce solutions that work for the broader team
Works across all levels in the organization to deliver GMP Quality compliance
Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reporting of Quality Key Performance Indicators
QUALIFICATIONS
We'd love to see candidates who have:
Essential:
BS in Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, or another technical field with at least 8 years of experience in OTC or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry with significant experience in GMP environment
Experience managing direct reports in a manufacturing / production environment
Strong knowledge of cGMP requirements
Prior regulatory inspection experience (eg , hosting inspections, inspection readiness planning and execution, etc.)
Working current knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies
Able to collaborate, influence and work effectively across multiple departments
Able to be a decisive and fearless decision maker based on company and/or quality policies and procedures
Strong data gathering, metrics development, and report generation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
Effective communicator verbally and in writing and ability to summarize key learnings and study results to influence decision making
Demonstrated ability to lead people in a positive manner
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and diverse projects concurrently
Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships and collaborations
Calm under pressure
Experience working with SAP
