Senior Manager | Property Tax

Description & Requirements

Forvis Mazars is seeking a Senior Manager to assist with managing our growing property tax compliance and consulting function. The qualified candidate should have experience with multi-jurisdictional property tax compliance for multiple large organizations. The qualified candidate should also have experience with property tax compliance software. Further, the qualified candidate should also have strong project management skills and experience with property tax consulting projects.

How you will contribute:

• Managing property tax engagement teams for large multi-jurisdictional clients

• Maintaining tax calendars

• Reconciling fixed assets/inventory

• Preparation and filing of personal property renditions

• Reviewing tax bills

• Protesting assessments

• Manage property tax consulting projects including but not limited to valuation studies, obsolescence studies, and duplicate assessments

• Coach and mentor property tax team

• Build relationships with clients and prospects

• An ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and experience levels both verbally and in writing

• Attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

• Active CPA license or CMI certification

• 7 years or more of relevant work experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with an advanced understanding of MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in business, tax, or law

• Experience with CCH Intelliconnect, RIA Checkpoint, and/or BNA Tax research software
