Our Stinger on-site Senior Manager Program Quality Lead in Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS), will oversee U.S. and foreign programs within the Stinger portfolio at our Tucson, AZ location.

As the primary quality interface for customers, you'll ensure the program meets all Quality & Mission Assurance requirements. This includes coordinating with functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and overseeing contracts through all Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) phases, from design to production and sustainment.

You'll develop and monitor quality metrics to drive proactive continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with integrated teams to enforce process rigor. In the program quality role, you will guide contract start-up activities, production and sell-off support.

This position is an onsite role in Tucson, Arizona.

What You will Do:

  • Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, early engagement, influencing and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers.
  • Develop partnerships with senior managers, IPTs, customers, and quality functions of the program team to define steps necessary to implement proactive quality strategies that shape Raytheon's ability to become the provider of choice.
  • Generate BOEs (Basis of Estimates) and the EAC (Estimate at Complete) as the quality lead.
  • Generation of new CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence), CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs/increase efficiency of the Stinger program.
  • Monitor/guide root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
  • Support issue resolutions and solutions to production.
  • Implement of Advanced Product Quality Planning in accordance with AS9145, as applicable.

Qualifications You Must Have :

  • Typically requires bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics (STEM) and ten (10) years of relevant experience in the following;

  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.

  • Working experience leading teams in failure and root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action.

  • Working experience in providing technical program guidance for manufacturing and/or design processes.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Security Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer :

  • Six Sigma, Lean, and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) certifications
  • Experience achieving goals and continuous improvement.
  • Experience Reviewing Statement of Work (SOW), Corrective Action Requests (CAR)
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers
  • Experience presenting, reviewing and/or approving changes through a formal Change Control Board (CCB).
  • Demonstrated experience exercising judgement and applying solutions with appropriate supervisory intervention.
  • Experience in risk mitigation and opportunity management.
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certification.
  • Experience comprehending and translating system requirements and contractual requirements to ensure full compliance is flowed down through product, assembly, and test documentation.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work well with customers, suppliers, and in a team environment.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional teams in systematic improvement activities (e.g. 6-sigma, lean manufacturing).
  • Experience with Process Re-invention Integrating Systems for Manufacturing (PRISM) or SAP.
  • Experience in First Article Inspections per AS9102.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
