The Senior Manager is a key member of the Digital Experience program management team charged with developing repeatable business processes to empower and accelerate efficient digital product delivery within the Publishing and Content Discovery group. In this diversified role, you will closely collaborate with product and services teams to ensure work deliverables, prioritized based upon business goals, customer needs, and technical feasibility, are clearly identified, scheduled, and managed while providing the necessary transparency required by business partners and executive leadership to inform decision making. The Senior Manager will be accustomed to working within a dynamic environment where a hybrid of software development methodologies is leveraged.
For this position, we expect the candidate to be a tech-savvy, self-starter who has an in-depth understanding of how process and technology can help the Digital Experience organization achieve its business goals. The candidate should be methodical and have excellent time management skills. This role will use communication skills to collaborate within a matrixed organization.
Ultimately, the Senior Manager is a servant leader and change agent who supports product and services team to deliver quality digital products on time and within budget while advocating for efficient business process practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the daily intake and tasks of the Publishing and Content Discovery group by managing the roadmap, daily status updates, and monitoring of progress in JIRA
Enable a high degree of collaboration and dependency management across teams
Work with software developers, technical and business management, department heads, product developers and QA specialists
Drive communication transparency and delivery accountability across teams
Ensure cross functional team product delivery increments align to business priorities
Report and escalate roadblocks to management as needed
Identify and evaluate project risks and take appropriate action to control the risks
Build strong relationships within SiriusXM to understand the business challenges and opportunities
Provide coaching to support standardization and team adoption of workflow processes
Collaborate with peers to identify and resolve product delivery workflow gaps
Participate in resource capacity planning
Develop executive level reporting
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
5-7 years project management in a fast-paced environment
Expert experience in Program Management concepts and strategy, using industry best practices
A track record of managing digital product delivery in a matrixed organization
Knowledgeable of all phases of the SDLC
Exposure to Agile methodologies with a proven track record
Superb written and verbal communications, presentation skills, and meeting facilitation skills
Strong leadership skills
Detail oriented and organized
Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles
Willingness to take initiative ownership and follow through on projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines and shifting priorities
