Job Summary:

Under limited direction, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to create, manage and coordinate: Supervision program management structure, required routines, and escalation processes to track execution of all supervision programs including transformation, regulatory change, and technology initiatives. Oversees and communicates overall status and management of all program and change management initiatives to impacted stakeholders. Leads larger or multiple projects with significant scope and impact for a larger, more complex functional area. Works independently on difficult assignments that are broad in nature and that require originality and ingenuity with appreciable latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions. Provides comprehensive solutions to complex problems. Results are evaluated at agreed upon milestones for effectives in achieving specified results. Maintains extensive contact with internal stakeholders to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directly manages staff and helps to build a team that provides oversight to the various transformation, regulatory change, and technology initiatives within Supervision.

  • Oversees meetings designed to track project and program status, progress, and issue resolution.

  • Leads strategic and tactical business planning and implementation.

  • Manages overall status and scope of program and change management projects

  • Communicates direction of various tasks to Supervision leadership.

  • Creates, enhances and maintains an infrastructure to support business operations of assigned functional area.

  • Balances conflicting resource and priority demands.

  • Ensures effective coordination occurs within assigned functional area and with other functional areas.

  • Develops and maintains effective and efficient workflow for updates and change management.

  • Identifies trends and implements intelligent solutions.

  • Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Program management techniques and tools.

  • Software development life cycle.

  • Investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry

  • Finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control policies and procedures.

  • Principles of banking and finance and securities industry operations.

  • Financial markets and products.

Skill in:

  • Planning, organizing, coordinating and directing business management activities and initiatives.

  • Reporting to Senior Management on status updates.

  • Developing systems and processes for maintaining records and documentation.

  • Preparing analyses and information reports for management.

Educational/Previous Experience

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A) in a related discipline with a minimum of eight (8) years of Supervision, Compliance, Legal, or Regulatory Risk Management experience in the financial services industry.

  • Managerial experience with knowledge and experience regarding a broad range of financial services.

  • Graduate degree with substantial leadership experience preferred.

VIEW JOBS 1/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-15T00:00 Description Job Summary: The Cross Border Product and Services Manager will manage the firm's strategy for delivering products and services to International clients of a U.S. based broker-dealer. The candidate will perform the responsibilities under general direction, with a high level of autonomy, using extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience. In coordination with other functional teams, the Manager will maintain ownership for performing a comprehensive analysis of the products and services platform available to International clients to assess competitiveness and suitability of services to client base, and develop and manage implementation of a strategy for changes to the International product platform. The Manager will manage the process to develop and deliver a catalogue of products and services available to International advisors for servicing of clients, and will work with Operations and Technology teams to identify gaps and solutions in the delivery of products and services. Extensive contact with internal (i.e., financial advisors, other team members, senior leadership, etc.) and external (i.e., issuers, product sponsors, industry peers, etc.) customers is required to identify, research, and resolve complex problems in selling or servicing products and business planning. The candidate will report to Raymond James' Head of Cross Border Strategy and Oversight. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Demonstrates a commitment to creating an environment in which the platform is managed in a manner consistent with the firm's core values - namely putting the interests of clients first. * Ensures that Raymond James' International platform remains competitive and accommodating to client needs. * Networks with industry contacts to continually benchmark the Raymond James platform against industry norms, including product and country availability. * Collaborates with the products teams and advisors, to evolve the platform and address areas of demand. * Develops and maintains relationships with potential product partners to assist with new product pipeline and sourcing. * Assists the research team in deciding which funds warrant in depth diligence versus those that do not. * Serves in an advisory capacity with respect to decisions to approve products for sale. * Serves in an advisory role with respect to decisions to discontinue offering specific products as well as approval decisions. * Collaborates with Operations and Technology team to support the objective of having processes and systems designed to offer new products and services, and to streamline the client and advisor experience. * Assists advisors in educating clients on the benefits and risks associated with International products and services. * Provides general education, product specific education, and support on client cases. * Interprets, applies and recommends changes to organizational policies and procedures. * Organizes, manages, and executes on objectives with minimal oversight, a strong attention to detail, a high level of professionalism, and with appropriate timeliness. * Meets and brainstorms with other key leaders in the firm to discuss best practices and cross-departmental coordination. * Creates written documents and prepares presentations for inclusion on an intranet website and/or in person delivery to financial advisors and branch management. * Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. #LI-MM2 Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of: * Complex investment products and securities markets in general. * Advanced knowledge required to appropriately partner with key stakeholders that across a range of investment strategies, including but not limited to domestic and international portfolios. * Advanced knowledge of operational infrastructure of the firm, including how product functions operate within the existing infrastructure. * Advanced knowledge of investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry regarding applicable legislation, compliance standards, policies, and procedures within assigned business area. * Concepts, practices, and procedures of product development and management in a financial services/broker-dealer environment. * Principles of banking & finance and securities industry operations including finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
