Reporting to the Director of Accounting Operations, you will work across Accounting, Finance, Legal, Systems and other operational teams to ensure the financial and operational objectives of the business are met. Be a part of our journey as the leader of Unity's Sourcing and Procurement team! We are seeking a Senior Manager with strong qualifications in vendor negotiations and procurement operations to further grow and mature our procurement processes, policies, and procedures for our rapidly growing company. Reporting to the Director of Accounting Operations, you will collaborate closely with internal partners across the business to streamline procurement processes and drive more efficient practices across the breadth of Unity.

As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will partner closely together with business leaders, Legal, FP&A and Accounting, IT and others as you and your team improve our Sourcing and Procurement function. You will grow and mentor team members located in San Francisco and Austin. You and your team will be responsible for negotiating and renegotiating a variety of vendor and supplier contracts that enable day-to-day operations at Unity Technologies.


  • Establish, communicate and implement long-term goals and policies for the Sourcing and Procurement function in order to promote value, efficiency, and consistency across the organization

  • Grow and mentor team members located in San Francisco and Austin

  • Identify tools, systems, and partner with the business owners to consolidate and streamline current operations

  • Drive continuous improvements for the procure-to-pay process

  • Partner with FP&A to ensure contracts and POs fall within departmental budgets and track spend against forecasted needs

  • Partner with the Legal team to continue building out our Contract Management and processes

  • Work with cross functional teams to achieve Unity Technologies' business goals


  • Experience negotiating professional services, software, facilities, and web services contracts

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate and influence effectively across various departments

  • Deep subject matter expertise for best-in-class procurement operations; In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices

  • Ability to establish the Procurement team's value and credibility across the organization and run the function as a services business

  • Experience with modern sourcing and procurement systems and methodologies

  • Familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risk

  • A player/coach who can both directly manage spend as well as mentor/lead a small team in doing so

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across direct team and broader organization

S/he will be the senior procurement professional at Everspin, responsible for procurement for internal manufacturing operations as well as foundry, OSAT, and other strategic supplier management. The successful candidate will be a principled and tenacious negotiator with a track record of win-win partnerships and excellent financial outcomes, and will help transform Everspin's supply chain into a competitive advantage. Responsibilities: * Develop and implement an overall supplier strategy that improves performance in terms of cost, service, and delivery, and brings Everspin a unique competitive advantage * Optimize supplier base for internal manufacturing by building relationships with key equipment and materials suppliers and ensuring delivery of quality products and services at competitive costs * Manage strategic foundry and OSAT relationships to improve our ability to service our customers by lowering cost, ensuring continuity of supply and maintaining strategic alignment * In partnership with our Director of Quality, ensure appropriate supplier Lines of Defense are in place and effective at protecting our products, costs, and customers * Develop long-term purchasing strategy to optimize indirect spend such as travel, outsourced accounting services, etc * Participate as a key leadership team member in cost reduction and product improvement initiatives throughout the company * Orchestrate quarterly business reviews with key suppliers including preparation of supplier scorecards in order to drive desired performance outcomes * Negotiate Manufacturing Service/Supply Agreements with key suppliers, consummate sourcing contracts and Joint Collaboration Agreements with strategic business partners. * Drive the Business Continuity Planning process to ensure multiple, geographically diverse suppliers for services and materials Qualifications and competencies * Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or other quantitative discipline; MBA preferred * Semiconductor industry experience strongly preferred, other high-tech manufacturing experience will be considered * 12+ years of experience in procurement leadership roles with progressively increasing responsibilities * Tenacious and principled negotiator with a track record of win-win deals, strong partnerships, and excellent financial outcomes * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable and credible with internal stakeholders and external audiences * Leadership - ability to attract, retain, and grow quality talent, mentor and coach employees * Hands-on leader - Everspin is a small, growing team, the ability to dig into details while maintaining the big picture is critical * Strategic thinker who is also able to pragmatically solve day-to-day problems * Unquestionable ethics - treats people with respect; keeps commitments; inspires the trust of others; works with integrity * Commitment to our core values of Leadership, Innovation, Communication, Persistence, Enthusiasm, and Respect Everspin Technologies, Inc Austin TX
