~ The primary function of the Sr. Manager of Pricing Analytics is to manage the development of pricing strategies of future vehicles with a secondary responsibility of providing oversight of pricing operations for the entire Hyundai model portfolio.
~ Manage the development of pricing strategies for future Hyundai models, redesigned Hyundai models, and oversee the pricing of current carry-over models.
~ Utilizes strategies to align brand strength with pricing power in order to optimize revenues consistent with our brand trajectory.
~ Develop pricing strategy with input from all cross-functional planning teams to maximize product appeal without jeopardizing model line profitability, this includes the creation of insightful pricing proposals customized specific to each model's unique circumstances.
~ Implement pricing by working internal departments to input pricing into the system and announce to dealers.
~ Interact with Executive management to obtain approvals of proposed pricing strategies.
~ Ensure the consistency of pricing documents produced for internal use, Executive management approval, etc.
~ Analyze and provide recommendation for ad-hoc pricing strategy-related requests.
~ Subject matter expert on all pricing strategies.
~ Pricing has the authority to access all relevant HMA cost, product spec, and plans to effectively develop pricing recommendations for executive approval. Additionally, Pricing is authorized to recommend pricing levels based on supporting analysis of forecasted volume levels, competitive practice, planned incentive spend, margin and revenue requirements, sales efficiency, etc.
Collectively, this authority has a direct impact on company/dealer profitability and sales effectiveness. Additionally, Pricing is authorized to input pricing into SAP.
~ Must be a high school graduate.
~ Bachelor's degree preferred.
~ Master's degree a plus.
~ Eight years of experience of which at least five years of directly related experience in automotive/ automotive-related with focus on quantitative and competitive analyses.
~ Supervisory experience desired.
~ Strong quantitative analytical skills, with advanced knowledge of MS Excel and similar spreadsheet software.
~ Experience working well under pressure and completion of tasks in a fast paced environment.
~ Strong oral and written communications skills, with the ability to formulate well-structured, data-driven arguments for executive consumption.
~ Normal office duties.
