PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Reporting to the Head of IRPS Business Management, the Senior Manager of Operational Data and Analytics will be responsible for developing and managing resource and capacity plans to support the execution of the business unit's overall strategy. This position is responsible for defining and delivering the data and analytics processes and management dashboards for IRPS to operate more effectively. The primary scope of this responsibility will apply to supporting II Services and Operations, II Client Development & Advice, RPS Operations, and Enterprise Marketing Operations and Fulfillment. This individual will serve as an internal expert on data and analytics strategies, relying upon experience and internal relationships to develop data and analytics capabilities for the business unit with a focus on capacity and resource management.

This function will deepen the management analytical capabilities within IRPS Workforce Planning and Management to improve upon existing reporting. Additionally, this role will further strengthen the business unit's ability to manage capacity and resources within an organization with controllable expenses of nearly $400 million.

This position will be responsible for developing and deploying enhanced analytics and dashboards, and reports. This individual will collaborate with dedicated business partner functions across Finance, HR, and the GM Lead team to deliver capabilities that drive greater measurement, resource allocation enhancements and operating leverage.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will update and oversee the architecture, deployment, and sustainability of capacity and expense management that delivers superior growth, efficiency, quality and employee engagement. In this role, the person will partner closely with II, RPS, and EMS LT members to ensure appropriate resource management across supported IRPS functions.

This individual will be called upon to participate in many large scale, highly visible, firm-wide initiatives and projects, as requested by the Head of IRPS Business Management IRPS including capacity transitions across sites and adoption of Lean Management practices in supported functions.

This position will be responsible for management of the capacity and resource allocation functions. The individual will manage the forecasting, planning and resource optimization across supported IRPS organizations. They will work closely with senior leaders to develop and execute a resourcing strategy that will optimize the allocation of resources that should result in positive business outcomes from Net Flows growth to expense management. The individual will be responsible for forecasting and planning resources across multiple locations.

In this role, the individual will support IRPS Management's strategic decision-making through enhanced performance reporting. This position will serve as the leader in developing and improving IRPS management reporting and data analytics capabilities. In this role, the individual partner with business unit leader to identify opportunities to improve reporting to enhance business performance.

Leads the recruitment, management and development of group managers and associates within WPM to build and develop a high performing team to deliver on and exceed client expectations. responsible for building, coaching, measuring and evaluating high performance teams. Determines the appropriate team structure to support the various Business Units and deliver forecasting and planning objectives. Has accountability to collaborate with peers. Ensures managers and associate are receiving regular evaluative and developmental coaching focused on improving the overall performance of the team and individual associate performance. The manager is responsible for rewarding and recognizing high performing managers and associates through the year-end evaluation process and through individual efforts creating outstanding client experiences or successful business process improvements/enhancements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • College degree and 6 years of related work experience, or Associate degree and 8 years related work experience, or High School diploma/equivalent and 10 years related work experience

  • Ability to build relationships and effectively communicate at different levels in and across the organization and to articulate to nontechnical audiences.

  • Strong consultative skills required to work directly with the business to understand data capability gaps and work across the organization to develop new capabilities for firm leverage.

  • Knowledge and experience using analytics tools, building dashboards and reports

  • Demonstrated people management and leadership skills/experience with an eye toward talent management

  • Strong drive for results and independent initiative

  • Proven capability to proactively and urgently address problems and escalating business issues

Preferred

  • Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related discipline

  • Experience with Data Science, Operational Data, and / or Lean Management are a plus for Investment Management or Financial Services Operations

  • Experience managing and leading virtual and cross-site teams

  • Solid oral and written communication, problem solving and project management skills

  • The ability to actively manage multiple project tasks, resources and deadlines are essential

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The Lead Manager Data Analytics in Internal Audit will lead the department's data analytics initiatives. The role will be responsible for developing, maintaining and governing the department's data and analytics capabilities to support both the management of the department and the execution of audit projects. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Build the Internal Audit Data Analytics Program: * Work with the Internal Audit Lead Team to understand the department's analytic capabilities and needs. * Propose a strategic plan to develop the data analytics team that will support the Internal Audit function of the future. * Engage and partner with audit team members and audit management to help deliver new Data Analytics Audit strategy * Develop and expand the use of analytics across the Internal Audit lifecycle (e.g. risk assessments, audit execution, reporting, etc.) * Build and Maintain Audit Data Analytics architecture, tools and techniques * Hire an analyst to help execute data analytics * Work with the Global Technology team to identify and connect to data sources at the firm * Develop core skills for power users * Identify and develop innovative and re-usable analytics solutions/applications, which can be leveraged by stakeholders to drive auditor 'self-service' * Keep abreast of new industry tools and emerging technologies, which may offer improved functionality or a more efficient and effective ability to deliver audit analytics solutions * Work with the audit teams and the business to develop and implement continuous monitoring and continuous auditing of key controls Execute and Expand Data Analytics: * Develop Strategies to champion data analytics extensively in the planning and scoping of Audits, as well as in reporting, follow-up and annual Audit planning * Develop repeatable data analytics processes to provide real-time audit assurance and improve audit efficiencies * Execute ad hoc analyses, code reviews, or data extractions requested by Internal Audit teams * Identify and establish data sources within TRP, across various business units and systems. * Identify data owners or stakeholders and establish key relationships in order to obtain quality and accurate data for audit execution * Extract data from the firm's data stores, profile to identify key features, patterns and outliers, and perform scenario-based testing * Perform data cleansing, extraction, transformation, and load as well as test for completeness and accuracy of the datasets * Summarize and present findings of an analysis using an appropriate means of communication, be it an email, report, or slide deck * Create data visualizations QUALIFICATIONS Required * College degree and 4 years of related work experience, or * Associate degree and 6 years related work experience, or * High School diploma/equivalent and 8 years related work experience * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent working experience * Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as R, Qlik, SQL Server or similar * Strong written and verbal communication skills with technology and the business * Strong analytical skills * Open, social, curious, independent, pro-active and result oriented personality * Used to working independently, handle multiple tasks and projects and adapt to a constantly changing environment * Able to understand business processes and needs * Ability to create new ways to improve current processes and develop solutions that are grounded and have practical value Preferred * CISA, or any meaningful Big Data certification * Asset Management Knowledge * Knowledge of Automation technologies like (Blue Prism or Hadoop) * Domain Know-How in Finance and/or Securities is a plus * Knowledge of the Internal Audit Standards and Expectations from Regulators * Data Scientist with relevant technical work experience * Knowledge of Microstrategy, Alteryx, Tableau, IDEA and/or ACL T.
