Job Role and Responsibilities:
This role for our Americas Field Sales organization is focused on business partnering with key executives and a wide-range of functions, representing the West Region for our U.S. Private Sector unit (a strategically critical $300M+ business unit within the VMware operation). The person will report to the Chief of Staff U.S. Private Sector with mandate for:
Coordination of all Strategy/Planning for the region.
Provide direction and oversight for the West Region Sales Operations and Compensation Teams to ensure optimal execution and insights.
Business Partner closely with, and represent on behalf of in most internal capacities, the Vice President of US Private Sector West region. Act as a Chief-of-Staff.
The main tasks as follows:
Drive GTM Strategy for the region, in co-ordination with Chief of Staff of US Private Sector and Americas Geo Strategy teams.
Ensure oversight of the Planning and Tgt Setting process.
Monitor and engage in fiscal mgmt. in coordination with Americas Finance team, to ensure profitable contribution and productivity by the region.
Work in conjunction with West Region Sales Ops team to ensure optimal adoption and delivery of the Business Mgmt Process cadence, including Scorecards, Client Exec Performance Rankings, Account Planning, Deal Reviews and Training Plans.
Promote and monitor pipeline development activities
Monitor forecasting cadence & analysis, providing VP with guidance, projection and propose/drive GTM adjustments and programs to maximize returns and ensure delivery of targets.
Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of Monthly and Qtly Business Reviews, in collaboration with Exec Admin, Sales Ops and matrix functions.
Inspire and engage matrix organization to act as One Team.
Experience in Sales/Business Operations or Finance gained within a dynamic high-tech organization
Experienced in working with Senior executives at all levels to ensure the successful execution of strategy through informed decision-making. Ability to challenge execs and the status quo in a Trusted Advisor capacity.
Strong networking skills and out-going personality to influence wide range of high-profile individuals.
Exceptional analytical skills and ability to make quick intuitive decisions/proposals
Strong programs, project and process mgmt. experience
