Providence is calling a Senior Manager of Safety and Security to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.

The Sr. Manager of Safety and Security is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the Safety, Emergency Preparedness and Security Departments; serves as the Medical Center Safety Officer and represents PRMCE at state and regional level in Emergency Preparedness.

In this position you will:

  • Develop, implement, monitor and evaluates Safety and Security programs to ensure consistency and compliance with organizational goals, and federal, state and local regulations.

  • Lead as liaison between the medical center and city, county, state and federal agencies and keep appropriate departments informed of changes to OSHA, EPA, JCAHO, FEMA and DOH rules and regulations.

  • Direct the development of risk identification/analysis practices to provide for program improvements.

  • Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate hazardous material and waste program in coordination with Infection Control Practitioner and in compliance with safe working conditions and external regulatory requirements.

  • Direct the development of risk identification practice and develop programs or procedures designed to respond to risk situations. Maintain training of hazardous materials cleanup team annually. Perform safety rounds continually to identify risk situations.

  • Direct the Safety and Security departments' operations to achieve goals using funds and personnel as authorized in the annual budget. Manage funds to ensure that the annual budget is attained each year.

  • Direct the contracting and operations of contracted services for valet, parking and shuttle operations. Keep departments within productivity goals for staffing on a monthly basis.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and directly related work experience.

  • Progressively responsible experience in developing and maintaining hospital/medical center Safety and Security programs.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, JCAHO and DOH, FEMA, NIMS rules and regulations.

  • Knowledge of safety and security related issues and risks.
