The Operations team continues to grow and aims to strengthen the connection of our Operations Strategy, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain and Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) across Collins Aerospace. This position requires to work with cross-functional teams of both experienced professionals and team leaders across the company in developing and driving Operations Strategy projects. In particular gathering of critical information and data, organizing events and conducting meetings across a wide spectrum of stakeholders to ensure collaboration and drive towards footprint business solutions. In general monitoring of strategic and tactical initiatives, support business units in operations strategy problem resolution, assists project teams in developing and obtain funding to launch transformational projects.
Operations strategy focuses on the development and execution of projects that help Collins operations drive long term business goals and provide support of business profitability through cost optimization initiatives
To drive performance our team relies on business recommendations and solutions that leverage operations synergies and development of our extensive operations network
These solutions are anchored in thorough data collection, strong skills for analysis and synthesis; socialization of ideas to a cross-functional group of stakeholders as well as senior leadership; and change management capabilities to pursue execution of ideas and opportunities
In addition, a strong foundation of financial/analytical models is critical to support strategic business decision-making
The successful candidate may initiate, lead or support various company initiatives ranging from strategy generation, project creation, business case development, passports development and tactical execution across Collins
Experience in strategic planning environments - emphasis on cost optimization, business modeling and understanding complex global organizations
Preferred exposure to operations planning, manufacturing environment or design engineering
Ideal candidate might have experience in operations/strategy consulting, banking, or corporate strategy
Knowledge of data analytics applications is a plus (e.g. Tableau, R, Python)
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or an Advance degree in the appropriate discipline and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience is required.
5 years of Operational experience
Ability to work and understand multilevel and cross-functional teams to achieve high impact results for the business, gain an understanding of international operations
Solid experience in Microsoft Office suite as well as complementary analytical software tools to support generation of analysis, data visualization and executive presentations
Business analytics experience preferred
Experience in giving presentations and communicating with various levels of leadership
Project management experience- leading/managing projects from beginning to end
