Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will support the Marketing and Clinical Franchises teams by conducting primary market research to inform key business decisions. The main purpose of this role is to turn data into insights The incumbent has accountability for primary market research, to support marketing and product development and innovation. Market research supports and validates the commercial decisions made during the lifecycle of existing portfolios or services/solutions, as well as support market introduction and ongoing market efforts for the portfolio of Quest products.

Works closely with the marketing and clinical franchise team members to interpret business questions and identify appropriate research methods or recommend leveraging existing research findings. Research should form actionable recommendations that drive competitive advantage for Quest.

Lead primary market research initiatives for assigned projects from inception through presentation of findings. This spans recommending a methodology and vendor, creating a budget and timeline, driving decision-making, interpreting research findings; and creating and delivering presentations to internal


Stay current on industry trends by accessing publicly available data, analyzing proprietary customer information, healthcare trends and customer preference insights. This individual will be able to identify

trends and patterns in the data.

Works closely with the marketing and clinical franchises teams as well as the Senior Director of Marketing Research and Analytics to derive insights from data that drive actionable strategies and tactics. Provide strategic recommendations to the organization that drive business decisions.

Supports strategic project initiatives within the Marketing and Clinical Franchise organizations, including participating in the development of Situation Analyses to support the annual planning process.

Prepares and delivers persuasive written and oral presentations that communicate the conclusions and recommendations based on the market research findings

Is a strategic "thought partner" with key customers as well as Senior Director, Marketing Research and BusinessAnalytics.

Supervision Exercised:

This position at creation has no direct reports. It is critical that the individual be able to work in cross-functional to foster collaboration and decision-making.

It is essential that this individual be able to synthesize outputs from complicated analytical tools and methods and communicate them to colleagues who are not subject matter experts in a way that they can determine appropriate actions they should take based on the derived insights. Mentoring and leading peers intheir technical competency and their business analytic skills is also critical.


Education Preferred:

Bachelor degree required. Masters level degree in marketing research, mathematics, economics or related field (e.g. MBA, MPH, MS) preferred

Work Experience:
8+ years in analytics, marketing or finance in a business organization. 3+years analyzing large data sets and creating data models to inform multi-milliondollar sales and investment decisions.

Manage multiple simultaneous projects and the flow of information across multiple work groups.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a highly matrixed organization (supports 6 clinical franchises)

  • Experience working in a regulated industry a plus. A background in the sciences a plus since an understanding of the medical, policy and regulatory environment is essential.Experience in cultivating information from publicly available sources, including the internet, public records, and third party sources

Project management experience highly desired.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with

Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Power Point, Word and Excel.

  • Ability to prepare and persuasively present clear and concise written communications, both in report and

presentation formats.Ability to make in person presentations clearly and effectively to large and small groups, including

senior business leadership team and clients (health plans, policymakers).Other:

Understanding of statistics as it relates to interpreting market research data and understanding their


  • Team oriented ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross functional teams and in a matrix environment. Strong project management, skills; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Strong writing and communication skills Proficiency with core business technology tools (MS Office, etc.)

What you will do Responsible for technical presales support on new and retrofit fire alarm/life safety system sales across a territory covering the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast. How you will do it Perform demonstrations and presentations of Autocall equipment, alternate systems interfaces, and code updates to end users, engineers/architects, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction. Interface with Dealers to assist with their general system education, potential sales opportunities, and installation on systems designs, technical requirements or project conditions that may be required within the specifications or contract documents. * Play key role in the development of increased product and application knowledge of new, less experienced sales representatives with whom they partner. * Gather information, make appropriate product selection unless contract or customer specified and prepare scope of work, and cost estimates * Offer advice to sales representatives and installation on fire, AHJ regulations and building codes for proposed jobs.
