The Senior Manager of Financial Reporting is a key member of YETI's Global Finance Team based at the company's corporate headquarters. This position reports to the Global Controller and directly manages a small team of finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting for SEC reporting purposes, including the drafting and review of an S-1, 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and 8-Ks

  • Monthly inter-company reconciliation, profit elimination, and consolidation

  • Leading process improvement efforts designed to shorten the accounting close cycle time to 5 days from the current state of 10 days

  • Directing the production of monthly management reporting and other ad-hoc analyses and reports

  • Directing the company's quarterly disclosure committee process to identify potential reporting/disclosure issues and obtain all necessary cascading certifications

  • Performing and documenting detailed accounting research for new and non-routine transactions to ensure the company remains in compliance with US GAAP

  • Leadership in developing a company accounting manual

  • Managing the company's bank reporting and compliance certificates

  • Assist with the year-end audit, including direct interaction with independent auditors

  • Recruiting, training, retaining and supervising accounting staff

  • Maintaining the company's accounting for equity awards

  • Travel - Approximately 10%

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding academic credentials. Active and current CPA/CA required.

  • 10+ years of accounting/finance experience, including 4+ years of Big 4 public accounting experience and at least 4 years of professional finance experience in a large, respected organization.

  • Prior supervisory experience required.

  • Demonstrated expertise in working with independent accountants and legal counsel in drafting responses to routine SEC reviews required.

  • SAP/BPC experience preferred. Major ERP system experience required, including experience with multiple sales channels, multiple subsidiaries, and multiple product lines.

  • Fast moving consumer products experience preferred.

  • Outstanding analytical and accounting skills, including thorough knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting.

  • Understanding and experience with SOX internal control requirements.

  • Mental toughness and energy to succeed in a fast-paced, multiple priority projects environment required.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Comfortable and effective in presenting complex information to senior executives and the BOD.

  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.

The team supports the Whole Foods Market income statement, balance sheet and cash flow forecasting and delivers various analysis and financial presentations to leadership. The ideal candidate will have a knack for team building and the ability to interact with various levels of leadership. Responsibilities: * Lead a team that facilitates and supports the long term planning, annual operating plan, and quarterly planning process for the operational areas of Whole Foods Market -- building partnerships with the business to ensure an effective support model * Coordinate the preparation and analysis of the quarterly operational results for executive leadership and Amazon business partners * Effectively communicate financial analysis to leadership in driving sales and profitability * Identification of business processes to support forecast processes, including partnering with peer groups to develop, test, and implement solutions * Lead and/or participate in cross functional projects as needed with a focus on process improvement and increased efficiency -- Ability to document and transition final product to team members in global or support offices * Financial Analysis - develop actionable, informed financial insights to assist executive decision-makers throughout the Company (this includes sales, margins, income conversion, leverage, EBITDA, ROIC, etc.) * Assist and provide analysis on forecast accuracy, proactively identifying & communicating opportunities for improvement * Willingness and ability to train peers on financial disciplines, specifically as they relate to forecasting and/or financial reporting at WFM * The above describe the general requirements for the position.
