The Sr Manager of CRM & Lifecycle Marketing will drive improvements in customer data, segmentation, and activation of segments across marketing channels for PetSafe Brands. The primary function of this role is to leverage portfolio data to build revenue-oriented audience activation, engagement, and retention strategies and programs. As the leader of marketing automation, they will supervise multiple direct reports whose primary roles are in creating and deploying email and SMS campaigns. The Sr Manager will also work closely with other team members to create reporting dashboards and analysis that will help drive overall email strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lifecycle marketing strategies to enhance customer engagement and retention.

  • Own customer data (e.g. enhancement, segment, tenure, behavior) to ensure complete and actionable data, and to identify opportunities/build and execute programs across mediums.

  • Establish and monitor key metrics for lifecycle programs, rapidly iterating and scaling successful initiatives across PetSafe brands.

  • Collaborate with Category and other Marketing teams to craft compelling and effective communications across multiple channels, ensuring consistency and quality in messaging.

  • Manage and optimize marketing campaigns in partnership with each of the Marketing pillar owners, continuously assessing performance and making data-driven improvements.

  • Manage email marketing campaigns end-to-end, including planning, targeting, set-up, testing, execution, reporting, and optimization.

  • Participate in the creation of regular reports and narratives (e.g. Monthly Business Reviews) and present them effectively to senior leadership.

  • Create email reporting dashboards/custom reports analyzing campaign performance to provide actionable recommendations and deliver continuous improvements to our email program.

  • Lead email marketing initiatives including continual optimization of email marketing strategy, platform enhancements, and related processes to retain and monetize existing customers.

  • Manage the technical execution of various email campaigns, including the template designs, unsubscribe management, and automated journey and customer life-cycle considerations.

  • Conduct analysis of results and develop test plans to continuously improve email performance, including optimizing emails for deliverability, mobile rendering, open rates, etc.

  • Stay current with best practices, strategies, and industry standards related to email.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.

  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  • 5+ years of deep experience in digital marketing for B2C or B2B2C brands

  • Experience in at least one marketing automation tool required, such as Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, etc

  • Proven track record in digital marketing including email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and web analytics.

  • Ability to translate complex and varied inputs including digital behavioral data and analytics, market research, industry and competitive trends and more, into a clear, cohesive narrative that leads to actionable strategies.

  • Excellent understanding of email marketing concepts and metrics such as Sender Score, deliverability, and sender reputation.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, creative, analytical and takes initiative.

  • Ability to work self-directed, under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple project simultaneously, and review and analyze data.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, project, time management and analytical skills.

  • Excellent writer and communicator (in both the written and verbal form).
