Senior Manager of Maintenance and Facilities Manufacturing Newmarket, On Competitive Salary $95,000 - $110,000, Benefits, Bonus & VacationOur client, a large and growing food manufacturer is seeking a capable and proactive Sr. Manager of Maintenance and Facilities to oversee their large location north of Newmarket, On. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the ideal candidate would have proven experience building a successful preventative maintenance program, ensure facility systems are functioning, as well as ability to motivate, coach and inspire a team.The Role:
Provides leadership, expertise and advice to senior management and related disciplines in all matters related to maintenance of equipment for the plant.
Achieves optimum equipment performance and availability through the execution of preventative maintenance programs to meet operational plans, schedules and standards.
Directs the execution of corrective and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure they are carried out safely, correctly, and efficiently in order to maximize equipment availability.
Provide mentorship and guidance for maintenance employees
Manage capital projects to budget; liaison with service and equipment suppliers and lead the introduction and integration of new technology and equipment into the operation.
Optimization of production up-time and equipment reliability and availability; ensuring sufficient resources are scheduled and assigned to support manufacturing operations.
Develop plans to ensure annual KPI objectives are achieved for safety, quality, productivity, equipment / machinery reliability and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Foster strong relationships third-party contractors and ensure frequent communication with internal and external departments and stakeholders.
Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff.
Ensure facilities power and mechanical systems are sustained at all times.
The Ideal Candidate:
8+ years of maintenance experience with a preference given to those coming from a manufacturing environment
Experience in the maintenance of equipment, and facilities in a large scale facility
Post Secondary education, with training in engineering or trades accepted, ideally with a strong electrical expertise
Strong self-motivator with a commitment to achieving excellence
Exhibit sound judgement with excellent decision-making, influencing and negotiation skills
Demonstrated commitment to employee health and safety
