Growth Planning

Growth Planning is responsible for delivering an audience-first approach to planning across channels and content to maximize growth and capitalize on data revealed opportunities. We have a relentless focus on designing a cohesive ecosystem across audiences, channels, and content to deliver a frictionless fan experience.

The Senior Manager, Growth Planning (Lifestyle) plays a pivotal role in orchestrating an audience-focused strategy across varied channels and content, with the ultimate goal of optimizing growth by leveraging data-driven opportunities. This role emphasizes the creation of a seamless ecosystem that aligns audiences, channels, and content to ensure an effortless and meaningful fan experience.

As the Senior Manager, you'll be at the helm of a team of specialists in paid media, lifecycle marketing, and connections planning. Your leadership will steer a channel-neutral and audience-centric approach to devise the most effective and efficient plans for notable titles such as The Sims, Skate., among others.

A key part of your role will involve creating and conveying compelling stories that not only make complex systems understandable but also encourage buy-in from cross-functional partners. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams, offering insightful analysis and strategic recommendations to inform planning decisions and bolster growth. This position reports directly to the Director of Growth Planning for EA Entertainment.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and motivate the Lifestyle Pod team of experts, specializing in Connections Planning, Paid Media, and Lifecycle Marketing (Email and In-Game).

  • Enhance planning outcomes by integrating channels for a harmonious cross-platform journey, informed by audience behavior, channel insights, data, and performance results.

  • Serve as a strategic ally to leaders in Franchise Marketing, Creative, and Commercial teams, offering valuable insights and analysis to guide planning decisions and optimize growth for iconic titles like The Sims, Skate., and others.

  • Assist partners in establishing measurable goals while highlighting the growth potential across diverse audiences and channels.

  • Contribute to the long-term brand strategy for Lifestyle titles by providing a strategic growth roadmap spanning audiences, channels, and regions.

  • Collaborate with Franchise Marketing and Finance to determine the investment strategy needed to attain brand and commercial objectives.

  • Identify audience segments with the greatest growth potential and deliver compelling insights that form the basis for plans, allowing marketing to connect more effectively with global players.

  • Work closely with Analytics to develop measurement frameworks that utilize a mix of short and long-term testing across the funnel to ensure plan efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Foster and maintain partnerships with major media platforms, exploring new capabilities, staying informed about evolving media trends, and implementing best practices.

  • Communicate key media, competitive, and cultural trends clearly to the wider EA business, ensuring relevance and applicability to their franchises.

  • Provide clear briefs, set expectations, and give feedback to the media agency of record, actively participating in the oversight of the relationship through quarterly business reviews.

  • Cultivate a culture of inclusivity that values teamwork, continuous feedback, and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in media or marketing strategy leading cross-functional teams, preferably in sports, gaming, or entertainment industries.

  • Deep understanding of strategy, planning, and activation of data-informed channel programs across the funnel joining brand and performance activations.

  • Extensive expertise in transforming complex channel ecosystems into engaging narratives and compelling stories.

  • Ability to present and influence senior leaders across the organization, including marketing, commercial, and studio.

  • Quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to drive change across your team and partner teams.

  • Highly competent in designing compelling visuals for slides, ecosystems, and connections plans.

  • Financial acumen - experience as an accountable leader with budget ownership and proven ability to deliver efficiencies wherever possible.

  • Interest and understanding of short- and long-term measurement, the strategic use of first-party data, the next generation of attribution.

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

º $138,200 - $219,000 USD Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
