We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable IT Senior Manager for Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) to join our organization. As the IT Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing all IT-related activities throughout the mergers and acquisitions process. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including executives, project managers, legal teams, and technical staff, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of IT systems and infrastructure during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

In this role you will lead:

  • Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy for M&A activities, aligned with the company's overall business goals.

  • Evaluate potential IT risks, challenges, and opportunities during the M&A process and propose mitigation strategies.

  • Identify and assess potential synergies, overlaps, and gaps in IT systems and infrastructure between the merging entities.

  • Due Diligence and Planning:

  • Collaborate with the due diligence team to assess the IT capabilities, assets, and risks of target companies.

  • Conduct technical assessments and evaluations of target company IT infrastructure, applications, security, and data systems.

  • Develop integration plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and budgets for IT integration activities.

  • IT Integration and Execution:

  • Lead the planning and execution of IT integration activities, including infrastructure, networks, applications, data, and security systems.

  • Coordinate with IT teams from both acquiring and target companies to align and merge IT systems, processes, and policies.

  • Oversee the migration of data and applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and customer experience.

  • Implement post-merger IT governance frameworks and processes to ensure ongoing alignment and optimization.

  • Change Management and Communication:

  • Develop change management strategies and communication plans to effectively manage and minimize disruption during the integration process.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address concerns, manage expectations, and facilitate a smooth transition for employees.

  • Communicate progress, challenges, and risks related to IT integration to executive leadership and project stakeholders.

  • Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and security requirements during the M&A process.

  • Assess and enhance the security posture of merged IT systems and infrastructure, addressing vulnerabilities and implementing robust security measures.

  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any IT-related contractual or regulatory obligations.

What you'll bring to BIC:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Proven experience (7+ years) in IT leadership roles, with a focus on M&A activities.

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems integration, applications, and security.

  • Experience in leading IT integration projects across multiple functional areas and business units.

  • Solid understanding of M&A due diligence processes, including technical assessments and risk evaluations.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and propose innovative IT solutions.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to IT and M&A.
